are you able to add another chuck in the carriage so i can get bore through a cylinder? Drill bit on one end, and the metal bar stock in the other chuck?

No indicating, no calculations on correct rom for the cutting tool, just seeming like there isn’t much precision done in the video. I’d still love to get ahold of one of these. I wonder if they make a four jaw for this

I bought one recently and initially I was quite pleased with what I received. These machines always need some work to tighten up the gibbs but that is not the most important thing to inspect. First thing you need to do is check the alignment of the headstock and tailstock relative to the bed. If the alignment is not true and square you will not be able to turn a consistent diameter part. It will vary in diameter over the length of the part. This is the ONE thing a lathe needs to do correctly. How do I know, because my headstock was badly out of square. So much so I would have returned it but did not discover this because I was playing with the "fine tuning".

Good question
@hillcountryringsСағат бұрын
@@MCcc-u5q it won't auto disengage. You have to be REAL vigilant to disengage the lead screw (otherwise it would 'crash' into the head).

Great video, I'm not sure what a lot of these comments are talking about. I learned a lot about the product and some of the basic ways it can be used. Your video was enough to sell me on this machine and I sincerely appreciate the time you took to make the content. So many folks out there are keyboard haters, but when it comes down to it, they aren't making any content nor do they ever have any type of actual constructive comments. It's like Haris calling Trump weird. Great, you think he is weird, now tell me what plans you have for our country! Nothing useful and just your basic school yard bullying crap! Thanks!

@@lookoutman it's fine for the few things ive done, making spacers, shortening bolts to exact length evenly, polishing some items. Custom door locks for my car and more. I don't need to do 10 items a day. If I can make 1 or 2 things now and then I'm happy. So far so good. Full tear down clean rebuild and setup to keep everything nice and tight. It's not perfect out of box. But with some tinkering you can have some decent results. Was able to make super shiney finish pass on steel and aluminum after get used to how fast and deep it prefers cut. I've only used low speeds. Seems more then fast enough for what I've done. (I'm not professional machinist just a guy who bought one and gave it a go)

This is a really nice little review. It sounds like you are looking for a video to show you how to use it, and that sir, is not called a review. He is showing some of the basic uses and talks about how he likes it and thinks it's a good value. I learned a lot from watching this video and it was actually far more than I was looking for and enough to sell me on this product. He did a great job, and if you don't think so then I'll be on the look out for your upcoming review.
