I have this same 22l unit. Has used it for several years with good results. Here is some dirty triks. 1. Preheat the main fluid on a stowe, use the built in heater to maintain temperature. 2.For small parts, use ziploc bags to hold and contain the cleaning fluid and parts. You can use different fluid in each bag. 3. The main tank fluid is energy conveyor (ultrasonic and heat). 4. The ziploc bags can be replaced with glass jars. 5. If you nee😂d to clean filters like mesh screen type, this is the tool! All in all if you follow this advice, you will save time and money.

Hi thanks for the tip! In case you buy another one, would you consider the analog dial controller instead of the digital led type like this?

Thanks for the video. I believe the ultrasonic action also heats up the water, so that may be why it's getting hotter than the temperature setting on the machine indicates.

Best trick i have learned with these machines is, just heat water and use a souvide cooking bag for your parts and cleaner. I just seal up one end of the bag and make the bag 2-3 ft long, let the top hang over the edge. The bags can really take the heat and can be reused. Best of all your machine stays clean so you can go back and forth between the items you are cleaning.

Thanks for the review. I'm in the market and am just making sure this is something I need. From reviewers there are obvious drawbacks, but all seem overwhelmingly positive on what is possible with these machines.

I’m looking to buy that same model, so this is helpful. It’s interesting that they use the same power supplies and transducers I’ve used for small devices for cleaning records. It uses 8 of these transducers. That’s a lot. They do say to fill it halfway, minimum. The more liquid, the quieter it will be. By the way, it’s not really a heating “issue”. They’re trying to keep the wattage to a moderate amount. I think this model is 600 watts heating. Thats not a lot for 22 liters. But the total is 11 watts and that’s a little.

Thanks for doing this video. I'm considering getting an ultrasonic cleaner and I know that the heaters aren't much so I thought about picking up a old electric coffee percolator at a junk store and put it on a shelf above the cleaner. If two gallons of coffee can be ready in about 20 minutes and its twice as hot as this thing needs, when the ready light comes on, just open the spigot and let it drain in to the cleaner. What do you think about that idea?

there are a variety of ways to clean hard parts, ultra sonic for them is just a convenience, however there is one task for which ultra sonic cleaners are v and we all know what that job is, carburetors. one of the biggest challenges we face as bikers is the bike that's been sitting for 5 or 10 years with gas in it, or more accurately, with rock hard fully cured varnish in them, the odds of you being able get a heavily varnished set of carbs cleaned and fully function after one cleaning without an ultra sonic cleaner are next to nil.. with that said, a set of inline -4 carbs won't fir an a 22L will they, you need at lest a 30 L , right????

The whole reason that I bought the Vevor 22L was to clean inline carbs(4). Check out my first video on the Vevor 22L... kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4WthYKrqdmZf5I

What do you think about using mineral spirits as the fluid?
@CycleFab
@CycleFab 2 жыл бұрын
The viscosity is probably too high with minral spirits to get the cavitation effect. Would be a neat experiment though.

I'm not here to say you can't put what you want in there, you do you, but a few considerations: You're going to have a large vat of volatile fluid in there for an extended time, around a good bit of wattage. Fumes will build up if you run the lid, normally I don't but it's more because the part may not fit 100% so I rotate in cycles. Generally using flammables is a real bad idea around electrical equipment, and there's better cleaners for this particular job. I've also heard of people using IPA but if you're doing that, I'd put it inside a sealed container then put it inside the tank. The longer you put it in there, depending on your fluid level, viscosity won't much matter. I've jiggled glycerin to death over 45 minutes. 😁But it is designed around water or water-like fluids, as the ultrasonic elements vibrate around 40khz.

Makes me wonder who can afford those crazy expensive ultrasonic cleaners, then there's the cleaning solution, Holy 🐄. It would be cheaper to just purchase all new parts than to run them things, no joke at all.. doctors and law firms maybe, perhaps to clean their fancy pens and cufflinks, but certainly not your typical mechanic lol.

Another word this product was NOT even thoroughly tested for accuracy. It was a build it and forget it which to me is a half a** product that'll only last as long as the short warranty. The real product lies in right after the warranty goes out. Is it great investment? NOT really!
