I am secretly more amazed at the fact that you managed to make swapping the battery of your robot easy to do

How exactly does the intake part of your disc tilter work? Because in order for the disks to go inside the bottom and top intake have to spin in opposite directions, but for it to be able to roll the disc's into the flywheel they have to spin the same direction. Are they directly connected or are they connected separately to different parts of the bot?

Do you have a CAD, just wondering because we are trying to build a similar flywheel (with limited success). ~ 78116A (England)

What the the middle wheels in your drivetrain?
@youtubewatcher73292 жыл бұрын
A little late, but I think those zip ties you are using are illegal, you can only use the 1/10 in wide ones, not the 1/4 in wide ones. “ j. Zip ties that are identical in length and thickness to those included in the VEX V5 product line (1/10” Wide; 4” or 11” long).”

How often do you guys need to replace the insert for your flywheel?
@robokauz2 жыл бұрын
Never.... well we hav'nt had to yet
@TGR702 жыл бұрын
@@robokauz Wow! Do you mind explaining how you did it? We drilled a hole through a high strength spacer then added zip ties through the holes with rubber band strips in the spacer.

@@TGR70 we took a high strength spacer, drilled 4 holed in it, then put 4 zip ties through it. Hasn't caused us any trouble since.

did you guys spray paint the polycarb on the sides/the one near the flywheel
@robokauz2 жыл бұрын
yes we did... we painted the inside of the polycarb so that it wouldn't get scratched during matches
@arushsathu88762 жыл бұрын
Oh ok, is it vex legal bc coloring wheels isn’t legal due to the surface contact rule with game elements so did u have any trouble with that at competition inspection?

@@robokauz Your robot looks a bit short. If you don't mind me asking, what height is your flywheel? Also, what do you think are some of the disadvantages of having a shorter flywheel?
@robokauz2 жыл бұрын
@@TGR70 the height is about 12 inches , the disadvantages would be making shots from across the field they are harder, with a shorter steeper flywheel but it is better for close range

what kind of string do you put on your robot? and what do you mount at the tip of string for it to be VEX compliant?
@robokauz2 жыл бұрын
the string is 3 mm nylon chord and there is a 12 tooth gear mounted to the end of it

This robot looks sick! Did you guys not geartrain the flywheel? It looks like it's directly shafted into a motor. Our team thought that the motors wouldn't have enough speed if we did that.
@robokauz2 жыл бұрын
the cartrigeless motor spins at 3600 rpm which is plenty fast for our flywheel. the tricky part is connecting a shaft to the motor, we did it with a high strength spacer with 4 holes in it with 4 zip ties.
@raymondhwalterxmas2 жыл бұрын
@Robokauz Robotics I'm confused as to what you mean by "cartridgeless motor" and how you attached the shaft to it. Could you send a picture?
@raymondhwalterxmas2 жыл бұрын
For anyone wondering this video explains how to make a cartridgeless adaptor. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5izdYh7h9KeocU
@akshajchalla90742 жыл бұрын
@@raymondhwalterxmas Essentially if u unscrew the screws at the corner of a motor and then remove the cartridge(blue/red/green), you get a small plastic gear that spins at 3600 rpm.
