Awesome video. Do you have, or know of a video that solves what happens when the brain will not power on? (fresh battery and wire, both I know work with another working brain). Also connected it to a PC and ran the Utility and it shows no device is found, so I know its not a simple blown display. Also when I try to power it up, the indicator light on the battery come on for a second and then off (normally what happens). Any ideas?

Great video, thanks. I'm making a project with a vex v5 brain. In our wires I understand there is 4 pins, two of which are +12 and -12 volts each which are the red and the black. Do you know what the other two pins (green and yellow) are for?

Great video. Thanks for posting it. I have several brains at my school. I have never had the problem you fixed in this video, but a lot of my brains have very bad connections to the smart ports on the brain side. Mostly ports 1, 2, 9, and 10 if the wire moves or jiggles at all the motor disconnects. I have tried changing wires, and the same thing happens. The bad connection is always on the brain side, never the motor ports. Do you have this problem too? How hard do you think it would be to replace the smart ports on the brain? And where would I buy that part? Thanks for the help.

Thank you for the video guide! Solder paste and reheating was so much faster than soldering them in. We have 1 more V5 to 'test' with :)

Excellent 8/10. Some close ups would be nice, but for an accomplished SMC tech this is not an issue.
