Here’s my story as to why this song will forever make me cry. I had an old dog back in my childhood, a golden retriever/lab. She started out as little pup in a box barking at people walking by at the local grocery store. Me and my brother (6 to 4) saw her near the entrance, we wouldn’t stop begging our mother to take her home with us the hole time in the store. Finally, she relented to us. We picked the puppy up and never thought twice. She was so much apart of the family, we couldn’t leave the dog. Taking her with us from the lower 48 to Alaska. Years later, we had to move yet again but to another country for a few years. We didn't leave her either. Things happen and we had to spit the family for 2 years. Our dog went months later, living in the US while I stayed with pa away. I was still living out of the country, getting ready with my pa to revisit the us when the news was relayed to me. Our dog had died just the day before I could revisit the states. It crushed me to hear that. I had been listening and buying some of vexento’s song for a while before this. Flying back, this song played and I couldn’t stop the tiers from falling. It marked my heart that day in a way that'll never leave. Now I understand why people can have so many different emotions about a single song. Why some obscure song can make people cry while others feel happiness. I can’t hear this song without feeling sad or sheading a tier anymore. It reminds me of all the good times I’ve had with all the love one’s I’ve lost in my life. With it the chorus leading to eventually ending with them saying goodbye. I might be one of the few who feels this way when the song plays, but it help keep the ones I’ve lost in mind.
