I bought some in August and fitted the same ones to a 01 VFR, and the riding position changed instantly, and the confidence they give is a huge boost. I love my bike even more now.

I have them along with an adjustable lowering link on my VFR. I also like them and noticed the difference. Only thing that hasd to be done was the side stand had to be cut and welded. I bought a spare for the job.

So pleased you found a simple and effective solution to your VFR. I had a similar situation with my old Hayabusa which I loved, and there was no simular way of resolving my issues. I too had to change bikes to a more sit up situation. Best thing I did. Keep up with the great videos

Phillip Lum thanks much much appreciated. Yeah I looked at doing the bars on the old Fireblade but it was more or less a complete front end modification. Big work if it turns out your not happy with it.

After giving the bike a service today I took the opportunity to take the bike out and try out the new bar risers, i have to say so far they feel good, cant wait to try them out properly on a run, thanks once again for making this vlog

the biggest difference bar risers, made for me, is at motorway speeds, being slightly more upright, there is more wind on your chest, which takes the weight off my wrists

i have Helibar's on my 98 5th gen. they come with the bike more of a pain to get on & off. than your Moto-CNC if you lower it go easy. your bottom out the fairing on speed bump's

Added these months ago n somehow they’ve moved up n once came loose where the grommet came away from housing resulting in a dropped bike on my foot! Anyway check it everytime now cos I like the comfort

😮 no way!!! Mine have not moved a milimeter. Did you use a torque wrench to tighten them up

I fitted these yesterday, and I noticed the cornering and much nicer position too, however, my oil/brake fluid reservoirs are very close to the edges of the screen when I turn the bars full. I had to lower the clutch lever slightly to get it past but my brake lever wouldn't go any lower due to a connector underneath it, so at the moment there's a slight cramping of my right hand against the tank at full lock to the right. Have you got any tips for what I can do about it? (know you haven't experienced it at all, so interested to see why I have! It's a 2007 vtec) Thanks in advance, love the videos ;)

@@tomboyle4312 quite a few VFR’s have the forks adjusted apparently they say better handling. If you watch vid again and see how much of my fork is sticking up above the yoke.

I ride a blue GSX250R as I've not long gotten back into bikes after a few years lay off, passed my test back in '84 while living in London, did a few years despatch riding. When I eventually had to return to Brum with back problems I gave up the bikes. Then a few years ago I had thyroid problems and lost a load of weight and suddenly found I could get my leg over again so bought a 125 scooter in January. Of course after riding big bikes in the past I had to get a bigger bike but I had to be realistic as I'm 72 and the gixer suits me down to the ground.

My love and pride was my 1995 Fireblade but long distance it was too uncomfortable, getting the VFR was the best decision I made. Enough power for me but the riding position is amazing for such a sporty looking machine 🤘🏻

How is it at full lock? I have mine stock position but would like to not bang my hands into the tank at slow speed

Full lock my hands don’t touch the tank but looking at it, it does seem close but not noticed any problem.

As someone out of the saddle for 15 plus years, and used to Yamaha's who has just bought a VFR like yours with ABS....I've got to say I can't believe that I don't hear more about how close the bars are to the tank on full lock, and further just how narrow the bars are and how they angle downards so noticeably. My right hand has suffered badly with aching, and after an hour both of my hands look bruised on the VFR....I absolutely know the bar height, angle and width is wrong for me, but mainly I think it's the downward angle that's wrong.

Ian Muggeridge agree mate they do angle down quite a lot don’t they. Have you thought of the straight bar modification. Heard that also is quite easy to do but not fully sure what is involved.

Hi Ian From Australia, I have two bikes, a VTR1000F Firestorm with these risers & a VFR800 vtec with standard bars, the thing I noticed about riding long distances (we ride up to 8 hrs in a day) was aching right wrist, by the third day it became unbearable. Did 2 things to fix it. 1. Stop riding with fingers on clutch & brake when not in traffic. 2. I use a throttle rest, this allows you to not be so reliant on gripping the throttle while riding (so you partly use your palm to keep the throttle open, not entirely) no more aches even with the VTR. hope this helps.

anthony dodge coming from a sports bike I found the comfort level go through the roof, I no longer ache. Performance wise I prefer it as it’s a little less responsive under 5k who I find is better and makes corners smoother. I found the blade quite snatchy and unpredictable at low speeds corner, it felt jerky and either want more power or clutch control. I’m not an aggressive rider so it suits me perfect.

​@Motourev I only ask, because although the factory bars dont have much adjustment as far as frontsweep/backsweep, I noticed mine were swept back a little bit from the previous owner and i pushed them forward. It seemed to be a little more responsive with turn-in due to having a little more leverage. I'm looking forward to installing the risers 😎

ah yes this is what happens when you buy a japanese bike that is a compromise from the day it was made especially the crap suspensions they put on them and then compounded by riders with limp wrists , shaggers back ,crook necks . and so forth time to by a 3 wheeler or go back to driving a car , time to go buy a european bike and i don't mean a ducati , me i ride a 2006 BMW R1100S and i threw the shithouse japanese SHOWA pogo sticks and replaced them with top of the range WILBERS shocks front and rear no need for bar risers .and V-TECH vfr 800 are the biggest dog that honda has produced the early non v tech bike are a better bike but still have issues as well
