Just to add to "I, Tonya": the triple axel shown in the film is also almost entirely CGi, since there are so few people in the world that can complete it successfully, and the main producer commented that even if they had found someone, she would be busy training for the Olympics and not want to risk getting injured. You can also compare this to the real footage of Harding's triple axel to see that she had to get way more air for the jump in comparison to what we see in the film.

I know this is an old comment but it probably helps that they’re experts in this field, can understand, explain and figure out things all in one video. Like when I watch other people react to things and they miss something, it truly annoys me to no end but these guys don’t really do this often because they are very knowledgeable so whatever I would find lacking or annoying in a reaction, they usually fix it and make it up on their own and actually add onto it instead. Their reactions also feel genuine and real than most reactors and are not over the top which can get so annoying.

@jlyn7468
@jlyn7468 4 жыл бұрын
When you are performing athletically you actually don't blink no matter how high you jump or how fast you run, because you need your eyes to be open to know what's happening around you especially if you're calculating what to do next. For example, if you are running in a fast-break in basketball, you aren't going to blink because your head is constantly whipping around checking where your teammates are, where your opponents are, where the basket is, and figuring out when are you going to shoot the ball. One mis-step and you can end up making a big mistake, which is why you wouldn't blink in sports unless the ball is flying to your face or something.

@@jlyn7468 Well yes, but your face isn't relaxed like you're sitting on a park bench. If you've ever seen those photographs of figure skaters taken when they're in the middle of some insane move, their faces are all scrunched up and contorted, and I think part of that is due to using every muscle in their faces to FORCE their eyes to stay open

One classic movie effect that recently puzzled me: in Terminator 2 the scene where Robert Patrick as a metal liquid form walks out of the fire after the truck explosion and then shift to his human form. Or what..?!
