He probably meant "potentially _the_ best player in the world" since this was the last tournament to be considered for the summer 2023 rankings, where, if he won, he may have snagged that top spot from Zain. Later, at ~7:17, he says "potentially #1 if he can take this tournament home", so I think this is the answer.

can someone get the guy commentating with Walt off the mic, I can't stand hearing the same bs commentary of, "ooooHH they're going back and forth here, and back and forth and back again, and again- THE GAME IS BEING PLAYED ladies and gentlemen- this is tooootally wacky lets see what happens next"..I get the game has been commentated for 20yrs and its hard to have good material but this at the same time should've made people understand these commentating pitfalls..starting to see what mew2king was talking about
