Leo strong but is he that strong? from watching this set all i understood pretty much is that leo used what could be considered the game best character, nice speed good recovery easy confirm (literaly the last kill was a 2 tick upair into a confirmed downsmash) projectile that do stun (it does about the same damage as fox projectile but it has the added effect of hit stun) also he a 'sword-ish' character meaning that you cant trade hit with like a no weapon character (thus generaly any character that doesnt hit with the character model will have an upper hand like sword character or character like ness or zelda) he get a boost that roughly come at around 60% that last a while increase some of his ability and give him pretty much the game best counter. Meanwhile he had a tight fight agaisnt a much lower tier character that is highly reliant on combo with a slow moving projectile okay-ish recovery and his best finisher is tied to his up b thus missing = massive punish. All in all i do believe MK leo is quite strong but in this particular matchup it was just joker massively pulling his weight by being faster than ken having easier confirm combo and having stun projectile aswell as a better air game and recovery. Arsen doesn't help either mostly because it will alway happen and increase joker capability for a while whitout having to do the down B work, which could lead to nerf down the line making it so arsen come much later if one doesnt use down b (probably around the little max level where it would take about 90% to 110% damage before you get Ko punch)

Leo is good which while individual skill will help when in an unfavorable matchup the mechanics of characters fighting eachother often account a lot for how easy or hard the fight is gonna be. Which can easly be proven by checking one of the past Evo (evo 2013 to be exact) on the brink of defeat in the akuma vs balrog matchup infiltration pull out a counter hakan which is a massive counter to balrog and just start hammering in the wins.

I think Ken has potential to counter Joker, if someone in top 8 were to play him well, like Riddles did this round. His confirms are fast, so at times Ken can kill Joker before he kills you with Arsene

Agreed, Ken kills really early which can counter Arsene, but it's kind of a difficult match up for Ken/Ryu as well though, because most of Joker's moves have multi-hits, so he eats through Focus attack.

It's crazy to see how Leo's Joker has changed since this set. Watching him against Dabuz at Smash Factor 9, you could tell Leo was using gun a lot more in neutral and going for more stage spikes.
