I'm tired of all the excuses MKLeo fanboys make for him. Just because he loses doesn't mean he's sandbagging by picking a worse character on purpose, or experimenting, or grinding. None of that, okay? Leo knows how he does in his matchups better than you do. If he thought he would do better as Joker or Byleth, that's who he would've picked. Leo is a legend, everybody knows it, so you don't have to get all defensive when he drops a set. He just got outplayed. It's disrespectful to Gluto to deny that, and hell, it's disrespectful to Leo. Look at that handshake, he clearly respects Gluto's skill, and he wouldn't want anybody to make excuses for him to take away from Gluto's win.

My point is that as a player, you have to address the situation and matchup and play the character that you believe you have the best chance of winning with. I’m just saying that At the moment Leo came to the conclusion that he had the best chance to win with ageis and he stuck with it. It’s not like it was a wipe he put up a good fight and was close to bringing it to a game 5. Also, he had been playing mostly ageis this tournament so it sometimes takes a bit of time to get used to the character swap. Not saying this applies to Leo but it’s something to think about.

I'll have to give it up, I think Gluto is currently the best edge guarder in Ultimate at the moment. In friendlies, if Leo's joker went off-stage, he was as good as dead. Whether he had tether or Arsene. And he was destroying Aegis's recovery too. I'm very surprised Leo went Aegis and not Byleth.

If he used his Byleth there, it wouldn't necessarily have worked because he's a bit rusty with it He also didn't use Joker simply because he knows that Gluto does better against his Joker rather than against his Aegis

Yeah just goes to show it's the bayo effect. In smash 4 captain zack Lima ect started getting results due to bayo. Now we have steve players who are just camping and doing uptilt combos and getting good placements. Not to mention the classics run away minecart or anvil out of any vertical disadvantage

Yes Steve is annoying but Bayo was literally the only character you would see in a top 8 while Steve only has 2 top players getting good and consistent results. For now i would like to think that people are losing to those two for two reasons. 1- the players themselves are good,the have mastered Steve 2- People doesn't really know how to fight Steve yet If we get to the point where Steve actually becomes the new Bayo then i will agree with banning him but for now i really think people should just chill.

Honestly this is why players should NOT play characters just because they are top tier. Tweek and Leo picking them up again was painful to watch, as neither of them fit well with the character. Leo should've kept on grinding the Corrin. Absolutely nobody here is prepared for a developing Corrin, but Aegis is so common everyone knows the MU. As for Tweek, he needs to cut this character crisis. He should'nt be playing 5 characters at once like this. It stretches him thin. I think Seph and Diddy are GREAT

Leo knows that he could’ve gone Joker but the fact that he didn’t shows that he believed that’s going Aegis was a better choice. If he lost with Aegis, he would’ve lost with Joker too.

@@rngesus967 nah definitely not dude Leo’s joker is very different now than it was before he moves way better and has better recovery options with joker. He went rob against protos min-min and lost but won against dabuz with joker before at low tied and after at smash faction. And just cause gluto may know the matchup that doesn’t mean Leo can’t adapt he has in the past that’s exactly why game 4 Leo exists but with aegis and corrin it’s been killed

When the DLC dropped I thought Pyra would be better than Mythra. I guess I wasn't totally off the mark. In retrospect I might have just preferred seeing the heavy hitter mode. Not a fan of the character either way admittedly.

Esto es lo que pasa cuando alguien realmente sabe bien las físicas de pyra y Mitra , conectaba muy bien los combos el resto lo intentaba y llegaba un punto dónde MkLeo solo aplicaba el counter y casi sacaba la stock estoy pensando seriamente en que MkLeo usa puro personaje con hitbox delgado como Joker o sacar rápido la stock como Byleth pero bueno glu supo aplicarle todo

Apparently Leo went Aegis because Gluto has been consistently destroying his Joker in friendlies matchs,so Leo probably wasn't confident to go Joker against Gluto
