Marcus Brown I’d argue against it just because how they are on paper, in terms of squirtles frame data, ivysaurs hitbox, and charizards frame 6 up smash ops and survivability, not to mention being very good against an undeveloped meta and the ability to keep up and improve in a developed meta

I hate it when VoiD loses, he puts so much time into a character that’s midtier at best even though that’s probably the thing holding him back from being a better player, but what I love is that he stays loyal and uses someone who can take a lot of time and effort just to play at a competitive level. I hope he can one day win a major with sheik because he deserves it

Joshua Krieger tweek can be a very good player without sheik being a top tier. That stuff isn’t mutually exclusive. I haven’t really seen anyone else high up making sheik work even marginally so it’s hard to really call her top tier with her results. This matchup looked horrible, when tweek needs to kill his character can swap to a character that can kill while void is forced to improvise combos to kill that pro players can often call out. Sheik has good frame data but everyone does in smash ultimate.

shiek vs squirtle is so scary to think about in my head and whenever I try to do it its literally impossible for me But Void played it so well despite it and it's taught me that I do not need to go in so much against characters like squirtle because in the end I'll just get taken to 60 while they're still at 6% from the few needles i try to throw out

@@rafikirana2468 the problem is shiek doesn't have a move she can just kill with, they're all so specific and or precise. You're not just going to land needles. You're not just going to land tipper dtilt. You're (probably) not gonna land soft hit nair bouncing fish, and you're not always going to have platforms to dragdown up smash into. They need to buff back air and up air (or ftilt up air) so she can have a move she can look for to kill opponents at that 120+% range

Sheik always looks like she dominates because of her insane frame data, if this was a different game she'd be broken. But since she's one of the few characters that doesn't benefit much off of the stupid rage mechanics like most of the cast, she'll struggle in the end.

As much as I love Void, he really handicaps himself by playing sheik. Sheik's main problem isn't "She does no damage" or "she can't kill" because she can kill, she has a lot of options, the problem is she's too light. She dies super early.

I agree. However, kill power is a *slight* issue in a handful of matchups so I would do two things: 1) Up air knockback slightly increased 2) Sheik weight increased

Tangarife Records void didn’t lose because sheik couldn’t kill. Tweek wasn’t even at super high percents when he died in this set. Tweek just started out playing void when it mattered. He just got hit less and hit void more on the last stock situations.

Tet, he missed 7 possible kill confirms two of which were game ending. One at 6:32 with the b-reverse bouncing fish off of the reverse nair, another one literally 5 seconds after with the needles to bouncing fish. At 8:00 he missed the sour d-tilt to full hop RAR bair which would've killed because Tweek was DI'ing out. At 9:09 he up smashes instead of F-smash or D-smash both of which confirm on Ivy at that percent. At 10:44 he missed the needles to bouncing fish confirm that would've killed, didn't matter though because he still got the kill and only took 2% after. At 12:15 he missed the bouncing fish off of the late up tilt which stays true for like a 60% window on Ivy. At 12:30 he missed the d-tilt tipper drag down to D-smash which would've killed. At 13:40 he missed the d smash which may have killed with poor DI plus Sheik rage. This is all kind of crazy because he just recently completely committed to trying to play her solo and his success rate has gone up dramatically. He's not gonna miss those at the next major he goes to.
