To watch this high level play and having played Melee and knowing what it's like to try and make all of this work... They make these things look EASY when they are very clearly not. Trying to pull off half of this is so harsh because of the strange way that (and maybe I'm not describing this well) commands have to be inputted precisely. Unlike in Brawl or even so far Smash 4, Melee and even Project M have this setup where button mashing is impossible. You can't button mash and hope to get the input that you want, you have to know what input you want at the time you need it and make it. Controlling this game at high speed and profiency requires precision beyond belief. I admire these players so much, watching this high level play is such a treat.

At 18:30 I'm 99% sure mango could have survived that easily if he didn't side b into the blast zone, I don't think he realized but they were REALLY high up on dreamland when he got naired and I think he easily could have just drifted towards stage for a long time then upb up to ledge, no doubt armada would've edge guarded it but hey, it's worth a shot.

Some foxes do, I think you'll see Fiction doing it more often than Mango, but I figure against Armada, Mango doesn't want to give him any more time to think about the best way to edge guard him based on where he's at.

Because if he does that, Peach has the time to get another turnip and bean you with or to simply float out and kill you off the side. If you're too far out for Peach to float out and kill you, the extra stall might force you to then sweetspot in order to recover. It's not a very good maneuver unless you're very close to the edge and the opponent is stupid enough to try to turnip you at that range. After all, if you're too far out, all the shine will do is shine the turnip off. The Peach will be left unscathed to still edgeguard you. At least with instant Up + Bs, Peach has to predict where to throw the turnip and then, if that misses, where the Fox will Up + B.

Armada came from the Loser's Finals. Mango came from Winner's. Since this was a double elimination tournament, Armada had lost once, Mango not. So, to win the tournament, Armada had to win two sets, whereas Mango only needed one.

Because Armada went through losers bracket. That means he Lost earlier in the tournament then won every other set to get to grand finals. Mango didn't drop a set and got there via the winners bracket. In order to lose you need to lose two sets. Armada lost two sets to mango's one set. Thats why they have a Bracket reset.
