So there are a couple of moments where MkLeo reads the defensive option and throws out an attack but the attack whiffs. Slowed down the sword hitbox definitely makes should make contact but no hit occurs. Can anyone help explain?

Couldn't Ally approach with the side b as a mix up? It would connect with Marty's range and turn him around netting you a grab

There isn't enough range, priotity, startup, or reward to warrant using Cape offensively besides gimping. It's already difficult to challenge marths disjointed hitboxes as mario as is, so if you do it would be better to try something safer with more reward like bair or uair since those lead to combos
