I assume you have a PS2. You can find Klonoa 2 Lunatea's Veil for around 20-50 bucks depending on where you look. For instance, check www.estarland.com occasionally. eStarland is a retro-game store in Chantilly (not that far from where I live). I've been there in person several times, and been happy with the games I get. Hell, I'll tell you when they have a copy available.

They most certainly are not underrated, what with almost consistent 8/10 and 9/10's across the board. They are definitely underappreciated and criminally overlooked, however. But there is most definitely a breadth of platforming games out there just as good if not better than Klonoa. It most certainly isn't one of the "few" examples of platforming done right.

Leorina's story was tragic, she genuienly wanted to help and she was preparing for a threat she knew was coming. But it wasn't for her to fix it.

I'm playing through Lunatea's Veil for the first time, and I just got to this boss. it's so good! it's the best boss in all the Klonoa games! (so far. I haven't fought the King of Sorrow yet)

Marquis Yarosh. That was the only slightly disappointing thing about this whole game. No ring duel with Leorina. At least this fight is still pretty incredible even without it.

I LOVE how this battle has THREE phases, instead of two, unlike the other bosses preceding it (the King of Sorrow, also, has three)! First phase: Leorina starts the fight running around the platform. Her weakpoint for the whole fight is her underbelly, and, as such, the enemy used to fight her is Erbil. Perform a double jump to hit her as she passes you. For the next part, she jumps around the platform after you; again, hit her in the underbelly with an Erbil. She, then, rises into the air, and starts charging up a shockwave attack. Use the two Erbils floating in the air just underneath her to launch your way up to her, and hit her underbelly, which will, not only, damage her, but also stop the charging. She will, then, repeat the jumping part; hit her one more time to finish off her green health bar. She will, then, fall off the platform, and her depleted green health bar will be replaced with her pink one for the next phase. Second phase: For her second phase, Leorina will rise up, and grab the underside part of the platform, and the Erbils will be replaced by Moos. This part of the fight can prove to be very difficult, if you don't know what you're doing. Leorina will crawl about under the platform after you with a glowing orb just sitting above her. "How do I hit her, if she is under the platform", you may be asking? Simple! There are four glowing sections of the platform that bob up, and down, when you jump on them. What you must do, is stand over one of them, while holding a Moo, and, as Leorina approaches you, double jump with that Moo the SECOND she's right next to you. If you do it correctly, the Moo will drop the platform on Leorina, and she will be damaged. Repeat the process two more times, and she'll go into her third, and final, phase. Final phase: For the last phase of the fight, Leorina, lying under the platform, will start glowing, and rise upwards. Upon landing on the center platform, she will be engulfed in a bright white light, and trade out her white colouring for black. She will go back to her jumping phase, again, except, now, she is much faster, and jumps A LOT higher. Luckily, the Erbils are back, so repeat what you did for the first phase. Deal two final hits of damage to her, and Leorina is down for the count!

Late response, but I believe Bangers is referring to when the King briefly surrounds himself with a blue forcefield, and the beams of light are spun more aggressively. It doesn’t change too much of the fight, but it’s there.

This is random, but I imagined Leorina becoming a frontwoman of her own upcoming metal rock band(with Tat being one of the guitarists) in future Klonoa games. I also just imagined Leo singing her metal version of Britney Spears' *Toxic* on stage while Klonoa and CO suspect that she sang that because she might have became infatuated(sky pirate in DENIAL) with someone that they know!💋🎶🎤☠🔫🎸💎
