1964 I built a steel tube chassis for a SCCA H modified car with a Pan hard PL17 850 engine. It was rear engined. I know, a violation of natural law, but everything was going that way. Never finished it as I ended up in a far off war and it got sold while I was away. I had a '60 PL17 daily driver and was aware of the weaknesses. Carbon throwing bearing, lousy electrical system and perpetually failing fiber timing gear. All fixable. My uncle owned a DB coupe. I'd love to find one to restore someday. Really fun car!
