My friend was saying this ( something about 2 tone alarm when I reconfirmed , he was not clear on that) . He also also told me , that distress signal can also be transmitted by MF distress message by using frequency 2182 khz on MF transmitter. I was confirming , can we use MF transmitter for distress alert (may day) ?

Yes do log it down ...by chance if u are going into same country and psc comes so you have evidence to show that you have maintained proper records
