The first tape had me losing my mind. I used to work at a Cedar Fair park ( Cedar Point's parent company) and they used that tape both times I worked for them back in 2016 and 2018. Hell they're probably still using it today. Thanks for the weird nostalgia burst! Brought me back to when HR would crowd a bunch of people into a musty room for orientation and force us to endure that tape early on a weekday morning. May Elwood's spirit rot in kiddieland forever.

32:00 that is actually how honing a knife works, it is unfortunately not proprietary old country buffet tech. it aligns the edge of the blade to allow it to cut better, same with those ‘knife sharpeners’ you may have at home that you drag the edge of the knife through. eventually it will need to be ground down to a sharp edge again, but you want to do that sparingly to maintain the integrity of the knife. there’s only so much metal on the knife and if you grind it down too much, the blade could snap while you’re using it and seriously hurt you - at which point that knife needs to be replaced. one of the tells of a cheap kitchen manager is if they have a bunch of knives with skinny blades that have been ground down past the edge of the handle. look up ‘ground down knife’ and you’ll find examples of what i mean. i worked in a cafe in a bakery for awhile and most of the knives looked like that lol

im from ohio and cedar point is a theme park near cleveland that started buying up other theme parks. i was a little surprized scorpy and holly didn't know about cedar point since on the hills of the roller coasters you can see canada from across lake eire. Canadians are very common in cedar point so I thought they may have heard of it via word of mouth. another theme park cedar point owns is kings island down near cincinnati that i went to almost every summer. a lot of the rides i recognized like the monster, the carousel, and the scrambler. the fact those rides have been there for almost 50 years is crazy. also cedar point/kings island has a history with weird almost action park level rides. the racer in kings island used to have one of the tracks (blue carts) go backwards. son of beast used to be a wooden coaster with a loop in it with no overhead harness. it really isnt the training, more of the rides being designed by elwood.
