A pity he suppressed his attitude on this series. To me as an Englishman the anti-English stuff was always his funniest material. This series was just too vanilla and formulaic (they could have flown in any old comedian to present the same material). I wasn't surprised it didn't run long. Almost as sad as that lame American sitcom Billy Connolly did.
