Qué bien que deben estar sonando estas voces en el cielo ahora. Nunca escuché a Mercedes cantar en idioma italiano, me hizo llorar!!! Bella voz, hermoso idioma. Y Luciano, también, como siempre, como antes. Cuanta emoción provocan estos gigantes!!!!!

Pavarotti delivers his usual mezzo forte and doesn't interact with or respond to Mercedes. Such a shame: it could have been wonderful. It is still nice, but might have been better. I saw Pavarotti at Covent Garden in about 1980 or 81 in Ballo in Maschera and he basically floated through at mezzo forte apart from one short phrase. Nice voice, couldn't be bothered to use it if it was a hassle (was my analysis - shoot me down: I'm wrong about lots of things).
