Nice video! Just to let you know, this train ended service from Chicago in early 2004. At the time it was called the International. Now it only runs from Sarnia to Toronto. There is no train connection from Chicago either. I wish the international was still around.

I can remember taking the International Train to Chicago on two occasions (1995 and 1997) to visit my Step Brother in Chicago (Both he and his wife have passed on, sadly!). I have fond memories of chowing down on White Castle "Sliders" and crossing into Port Huron through the St. Clair tunnel! Oh, how terrorism and the resulting paranoia have messed up travel between our two great nations!! Sad.

@vinylelvis1 nope, VIA Rail passenger cars never went into the U.S. only certain VIA F40's were given clearance by customs to go to Chicago

If I were going to Canada, I would prefer taking the train instead of a car. Wish that train from Chicago to Toronto were still in operation! How would one cross the US/Canadian border in Michigan now? Is there a cross-border train from Detroit, for example? Or would one need to take a bus or ferry across to Windsor or Sarnia, if one wasn't driving one's own car?
