I think it's a case of which works better for the game mostly - some games like this or more atmospheric games can work better without voice commentary, but for others it adds to the charm or entertainment of he game.

I didn't want to originally, but now all my videos since the start of this year have me chatting away. At first I thought who would actually want to listen to me talk about the game surely people would rather just enjoy the game itself but talking seems to be more popular :)
