Well, see, there's this reactor who loves Ren and Ren-&-friends SO MUCH that he's even doing the videos that were made from this brilliant but sometimes silly or incoherent live stream jam Ren and Liv did, and after a shitty Friday, I've woken up to Saturday morning to find he put a new one out overnight. ❤ Thanks Ray, I really needed this to get the day started. I'm glad you've lived the Liv stream so much. It's been an absolute pleasure to discover it with you - I'd watched a few of them but mostly hadn't had the attention span to return to get them all done. Very glad to have enjoyed them with company, here. edit - I'm never gonna begrudge you eating candy on stream. Behind you 100% in kicking the smoking thing, and also: who cares, particularly for someone who's doing such long-form content/putting out so many hours of content a week. Your audience has collected around you, and will continue to collect around you; absolutely, those who do find the candy-eating uncomfortable (or whatever) will show up for a bit and then leave, but that's always been the case. The rest will stay. edit edit: "errytime I take a sip I get a lil bit sober" - you said that like it was a lyric to a Beastie Boys hook or something (apologies, I still have very little rap knowledge and I'm sure there's an even more on-the-nose example... but the Beastie Boys will get the point across). I think there's a song that needs to be developed there. Hell, it'd fit the beat of the song Ren and Liv are jamming right now! 9:40 - I get so happy when someone recognizes and names this dynamic, whether in jamming or in rehearsed performance. That's what it's ALL about. That's what makes truly great music, even in rehearsed stuff. That's where Ren "lives" - he exists within that ebb and flow of sensitivity to the interplay. And that's why EVERYONE REN PULLS INTO HIS UNIVERSE is mind-blowing - he pulls them in because they do the same thing. People keep saying "Ren and Chinchilla's voices suit each other so incredibly!" but it's more than that. Vocalists with very different voices can achieve similar things if they both know how. They *bend* to each other. They do it purposefully (although it's mostly instinctively by the time you can do it as WELL as Ren and Chinchilla). They bend and dance and shine light on each other's most beautiful moments because they understand the music and the lyrics and they know - without having to discuss it - which moments in the melody should be traded out for a focus on the other person's harmony to play perfectly with whatever's going on in the guitar line, or whatever. There are plenty of genius songwriters out there who can't "live" in this state, even though they might achieve it sometimes. There are plenty of mind-blowing voices out there who can't "live" in this state etc. There are plenty of mind-blowing musicians who can't "live" in this state etc. And there are plenty of all those categories who can achieve it a bunch, but who can't always quite let go of their ego (I'm not throwing shade on them, I'm describing why they don't pull off what Ren & friends do with the consistency that Ren & friends do) - they "get it" sometimes, and those "sometimes" are some of the best music they ever produce... but they also sometimes get caught up in "yeah man, this is MY time to shine!" or the other side of that coin, "man, my bandmate is hogging the spotlight AGAIN, he thinks he's such hot shit, he thinks everyone comes to our shows to watch HIM" and they stop dancing with him within the music. And then no matter how good the music is, no matter how good the voice is or the guitar or whatever, it sort of mostly becomes "just" music. Just a performance. Fans will love it anyway, but it's "just" music at that point. Anyway, it feels to me that maybe not everyone can identify what's going on with those dynamics? Lots and lots and lots of people can say "man, there's something SPECIAL that happens with these two/this band/whatever" but maybe they don't know what words to put to it. Ren just doesn't bother putting his precious time & energy into things that don't involve it (and who knows, maybe when musicians/vocalists spend time with him, maybe he... manages to teach it, or pull them into it when they otherwise might not be good at making it happen?) Anyway, yeah, when Ren and Liv "hit" something good in their jams, even if it's silly, it's what's happening. They've "found" that place. 10:30 - Liv sings a na na na na line "at" the side of Ren's head - she's communicating "hey, I've found this thing within the music and I want to explore it, let's go THERE," and Ren responds - without looking at her - by leaning into the element she's sung at him, and off they go with the guitar jam. ♥ 16:55 - Be a good ancestor. ♥ 20:00 - Ren can identify that Liv's got most of her creative use out of the chord progression she wanted to explore, and might be running low on juice to continue in interesting/non-repetitive ways, so he takes the "lead" by putting whatever musical ideas he's had during the time Liv was exploring, into vocals. Liv understands instantly that the flow of the music has moved over to his output and she relaxes, not pushing to remain "the voice of interest." 21:30 - I 100% believe Ren is not only changing modern music/performance/entertainment, I believe what Ren's doing is going to change the world.

P.P.P.S. I hear you on the quitting smoking and candies. The first time I quit smoking (February 1997 (I think)) (for a whoppin' 8-ish months. My crutch was Smarties (^TM) (the candy coated chocolates, not Rockets); I ate so many of them, I gained around 80 lbs and ended up smoking again until almost end of October 2019 and still haven't lost the weight and packed on even more, but that is too much sharing lmao. When I started vaping, the only flavour that I could do that actually could keep me not wanting to smoke was Cinnamon Red Hearts ("tasted" Exactly like the Valentine candies; can't find the flavour now anywhere, but still looking). Luckily, I can do other flavours now, but still like my *just cinnamon* flavours. K, done rambling now.

No, no, no! Fried rice is made with leftover rice. You never make fried rice with freshly cooked that day's rice. It is always made with leftover rice (or day old rice). And I know this for a fact because my Mom is Eurasian. Jesus. You legit horrified me at your fried rice story. Duck Sauce * winces * Pretty sure that's the sauce you're talking about. I could see sesame oil. Because yeah that's both a cooking ingredient AND a condiment. No, really. Whenever my Mom makes homemade Chinese the bottle of sesame oil is put out on the table. Well not always. Not for spicy peanut butter noodles. Because instead you top those with roasted sesame seeds and peanuts (roughly crushed) and of course chopped green onions. Anyhoodles! Rambling. So…..@vibereacts05 like many I found you through Ren, and to say you’ve impacted my life is an understatement, a bit like saying Ren is ok 🫨🤭 What I’d like to say is I’ve only watched you react to Ren, I’ve literally watched all of them in last few weeks, I only joined KZbin in Feb this year, it’s been a busy couple months…so I’ve no idea how you react to other artists. I’d like to ask you if you’d do a post Ren reaction explaining if you can remember life before Ren…if he’s changed your life that is and what life during and now after reviewing everything this amazing human has done..to date is like? How much has your mind been blown 🤯🫠He has profoundly and deeply changed me and it’s amazing but scary, the boxes have been opened and stuff needs addressing, but with people like you and this amazing community I’m sure I’ll find any help I may need.
