I bought a pair of Viberg's 2030s that have their number 2 eyelets that came with the same waxed cotton laces that I thought at just over 2mm wide were too narrow. After a lot of searching I found some waxed cotton laces by Saphir Beaute du Cuir (good quality) that are about twice the width, a much better fit and easier to handle. I got them from Shoe Medic in Toronto. You can also find some that are 7mm and 10mm in width.

So you've had these for half a year now.. how are you liking the leather? Thinking about getting a 2030 pair in this.

It’s decent. I prefer the Tobacco Phoenix leather. The Antique has an older cracking style patina. It’s interesting.

Softer leather usually gets tighter around the last and toe cap. It is something i didn't saw makers get around

Hi, I don’t have too much experience with boots.Only Allen Editions, Wolverine 1000 miles and Iron Rangers.The boots look very unique and stylish.I am surprised how such famous and reputable boot company QC can miss all these “small” things for that price of the boots.
@EDHBlvd11 ай бұрын
Yep. Inexcusable for $800 IMO.
@arindambasu985011 ай бұрын
At such a ateep price of 800 USD the quality control is nothing short of appalling. 😮 The price is well beyond what id spend on such boots.

Nice boots. I get the little nit picky things too when spending that kind of money. I have the toe puff prominent on one of my Nicks and it kind of bothers the heck out of me.

Those issues that concern you seem minor to me and wouldn’t bother me. Wear and enjoy those beautiful boots.

They won’t bother someone who didn’t just spend $800 on them. Haha. I am wearing them.

I’ve looked at the Viberg 310’s and haven’t pulled the trigger. I think I would just get the Prospector instead, save some money and similar look. Thanks for sharing the video, very informative for my future investments.

Wow. These looks really good, the leather will look incredible with age. I can’t understand that they can’t be more picky at the QC, they probably get away with it most of the time so I guess they are taking the chance to let it go

Awesome leather, the character in that will be awesome as it ages. Are these machine or hand lasted? That leather probably gets all kinds of definition from just being shaped on a last. That heal soul really big me. I figure that would settle in from walking, but I would probably send it back to Viberg to correct it.
@EDHBlvd11 ай бұрын
Viberg uses machine Lasting.

Thanks for making the effort for really good lighting. I’m so disappointed Viberg did you dirty like this. The issues all become less of a problem as the boots get broken in, but to expect a customer to open a box and be happy with boots in that condition is not excusable. Sorry, man
@EDHBlvd11 ай бұрын
I’m fine with it, but the world should be aware their fit and finish is not up to $800 cost. These are at best a $700 boot. There is a Brett tax for the brand hype.
@brandonin_ny11 ай бұрын
@@EDHBlvd well, that’s good that you’re fine with or can live with it, it just sucks you were put in that position to even weigh it. The customer reaction should always be of joy and wonder especially if they’re researched on what they’ve purchased. Viberg should mean that extra tick on the fit and finish scale. If they can no longer live up to that, yikes. Anyway, I’m glad you can see past the errors. Lord knows, I’ve been in this position too, and it’s frustrating. Quick side note somewhat related, I ended up sending the Whites that were sent to me in Burgundy double shot that were supposed to be British Tan double shot. So far, the customer service experience with them has gone swimmingly, but I have yet to receive the new pair. I’ll obviously hold out final judgement until then.

Do you prefer the nicks robert or the whites c350 cruiser? I've been looking at the nicks robert but It seems like whites gets you their boots faster?
@EDHBlvd11 ай бұрын
I don’t care for the standard Nicks offerings as they have a super tall heel. Whites has a normal heel. All but one of my Nicks are lower moderate heel. The only stock boot with lower heel is the Prospector. I think wait times are similar right now. Both being about 6 months.

What's your brannock? Just wanted to see what 310 sizing would be compared to one's brannock
@EDHBlvd11 ай бұрын
I’m 11.5D Heel-to-Toe. My heel-to-Ball is a 12, but I’ve never sized for it. These are a UK 10.5E. They fit my foot very well with the lighter socks I like to wear. I wore the the other day with a mid-weight Darn Tough sock and they were a little snug, but wearable. The 310 seems to run wider than other Viberg Lasts, however I’ve not actually tried any others. Basing that purely off lots of reading of peoples fit conversations.
