I don't know, but my feeling is that the title means "tipping our hat to Nancy" (with a pun, also meaning "tipping" as in playing the bodhrán), so it might mean "with my right hand", "towards the wall" etc. does it mean something like "with my right, I'm going to..."? I've been trying to figure out if it comes from / resembles an Irish / Gaeilge phrase

It's a "word" used to replicate the sound of an instrument as these old songs were usually sung without instrument accompaniment. Nothing mysterious about it.
