I honestly JUST caught one bar i have not caught after 10 thousand times hearing the album n thousands of reactions! Cant believe eminem is still being debated. Who else makes u pause EVERY BAR to soak in the greatmess. Eminem doesnt have fillers. I cant believe sone people said mgk beat eminem when eminems NOT ALIKE killed mgk and killshot ended it! Mgk didnt even reply . mgk had a catchy song with a song FULL OF FILLERS. Simple bars. Not double meaning bars. Only had a couple dope bars. So how did mgk win with only a couple dope bars?!?! people hating on this album are just wave riders that don't care about hip hop, their only points is that THEY PERSONALLY find it "cringe" that he is sending shots at people lol that's what rap is about !
@__ethen_28146 жыл бұрын
It's not cringy because he's taking shots. It's cringy because he won't take any responsibility for Revival being trash and the entire album doesn't have any actual content or anything interesting lyrically, besides his incredible use of language, of course. No one can take his rhyme schemes away or say they're trash, or his amazing flow and delivery. However at this point in my life, I don't care as much about how well he can rap, I already know he can rap. I want to hear him say something interesting or at the very least different, and for it not to come off as super poppy and crappily produced like Revival. Lucky you is fire though. The rest of the album feels pretty mediocre to me and Eminem is capable of more, or at least I hope he is.
@MultiKonrad1006 жыл бұрын
I can see where you and others are coming from, but if you listen to the songs carefully, as well as the recent interview he did with Sway, you understand why he`s made this album. It`s not that he can`t take criticism, but he feels like he is getting punished for 1# Setting the bar so high for himself due to previous success, 2# People hate on what`s different to todays radio hip hop and 3# People simply don`t appreciate lyricism anymore. I think it`s only fair he gets to retaliate.

Damn! Thanks for highlighting this verse man 👊 I never listened to this track much cos I was never into D12 etc so I could never relate to much of the track well. But that verse is profound on so many levels. Your comment hits the nail on the head, but I'd also like to add that Freud is the _Father of Psychoanalysis,_ which at its heart is a therapeutic method of addressing unconscious and deep rooted thoughts, ultimately aiming to release pent-up/repressed emotions and memories. With that in mind, when you consider the structure of the whole song & its content, that one line really doesn't stand as something casually inserted without consideration. Though not much ever is with Eminem, the more I learn. I always appreciate his use of 'take me to the river' right at the start. Edit: Typos

Agree with a lot of the people below and I mentioned this on another Em reaction video you guys had, legit the best dudes breaking down the bars. Very impressive for sure. We need more!

"...You know who you...are Kelly (R.Kelly)" cause MSG said Hailey was hot AF in a Tweet when MGK was 22 and Hailey was 16. And, well, we ALL know what R.Kelly did. Em killed him!

You guys did the best review out there on Not Alike, honestly the amount of people who miss the double or triple meanings behind a mere snippet of a single bar is staggering. Way to go, months after kamikaze dropped, I love going back to this vid!

Y’all have been, by far, the most thorough for this album. Breaking down every lyric, not many other channels can do that as well as y’all did, especially for Eminem. Phenomenal review & reaction.
@playboy23235 жыл бұрын
After watching you guys break down bars, it’s legit comical seeing other channels try to do it. Even dudes with a ton of views just nod to the beat and miss so much shit. Y’all are on another level man.

28:47 i think y’all missed where he said “like my monthly bill from sprint they charging me for a selfie\cell fee”. He means the woman are charging to him for a selfie because of the previous line and the obviously one of course🔥🔥🔥🔥

The entire album was so good 😅 I’ve never had to go to KZbin and look up reaction videos lol

That reaction to the “mist/missed” was the correct response to REALLY hearing what Em is intending you to hear - for the real listeners. Ngl y’all up there with my top reactors/break downs for Em’s music. Appreciate y’all

VibeVilla, you two outclass every other channel so much - with your depth of knowledge and actual ability to break down bars - that I wish we could divert everyone here first. . I'm sure almost everyone here would agree that all the other reaction/review channels out there (with the rare exception) only make these types of videos because they see $$$ - Which I wouldn't hate if they were actually able to decipher an album (or at the very least anything deeper than the surface level stuff a 9 year old picks up) . Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that what you do is truly appreciated.

When he says you already know who you are Kelly. But like R. Kelly cause he commented on the fact that his daughter was hot but it was when she was like 16 so he's saying MGK is like R. Kelly. I love watching yall!

Yo you guys are actually attentive, listen, and dissect the bars and are intelligent. You catch the intricate word play and the double entendres really quick. That and you break it down for those who can't catch em lol. Ya'll just gained a new subscriber. Keep up the great work.

2:29 "You won't ever see the Em I see but as cold as I get on the MIC I polarize" 1. Em I See (Em Eye See) (We'll never see the real him, prob talking about his family life) 2. Em Icy (Em I see - referring to the next line about him being cold hearted on the mic) 3. "You won't ever see the MIC (referring to his level on skill and popularity) 4. Back to "Em Eye See I think this is a play on words to do with the word polarize and how you can see or hear something so horrible you get polarized. Probably to do with his lyrical content. 5. Polarize sounds like polar ice so its a play on words to cold. We're dealing with a lyrical genius.

I caught more bars as I repeatedly listened to Kamikaze. There is so much complexity in his rapping... I love music that makes me think... This line in particular I thought was genius as hell... " I said my beef is more media journalists " ... media, can be pronounced me-dia ... and can be further manipulated into... meat ta ya... 'Meat to ya journalists'. Which connects to the next line seamlessly: " Can get a mouth full of flesh" "And yes, I mean eating a penis" Then mocks the listeners that picked up that subtly in the first line. ... And that's only around 10 seconds of audio on the 1st track. I'm going to have to relisten to the album many times to catch more of this genius.

Listen to new EM song; an hour work and rewind, rewind, rewind. At certain time u start thinking like 🐐. U be hearing barzzz not even in there, and others are still going straight above your head. Listening to EM during a week dissecting new material; U Catathonic deranged

Ok so ive been looking to see if anyone got this line from the song Venom. "....Edgar Allen Poe, bed ridding shouldve been dead a long time ago". Edgar Allen Poe was a famous poet who got poisoned purposely and was agonizing on his death bed (bed ridding). The genius behind that line escaped many! Brilliant man!
