I was able to meet the crew and sit in the Snowbird jets many years ago as an Air Cadet. The planes are originally trainers for pilots in the Canadian Air Force. They now serve an exhibition role. The Snowbirds appear at dozens of airshows each year globally.

Let me know when you make it to Duluth. I’m around about 60% of the time here. I definitely recommend these activities in Duluth. First, you must visit Anchor Bar in Superior, Wisconsin, just a short drive from Duluth. They have the best burgers, even featured on the TV show “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.” It’s cash only, so keep that in mind. This place is a must for ship lovers. If the weather cooperates, the best restaurant balcony is at Mexico Lindo in the Fitger’s complex. You can park in the ramp and make sure to get your parking ticket validated before leaving the restaurant. The view alone is worth the stop, and you will really enjoy it. You look out on Lake Superior and the Lift Bridge! One block from Lift Bridge, there’s a place called Father Time Antiques. It’s a really fun place to walk through, and I bet you’ll find some cool things to buy. Tons of interesting items to look at and purchase. Also, about 200 steps away from the antique shop is the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which is another must-visit. Finally, make sure you visit the Maritime Museum right next to the bridge. It’s free and a great spot for anyone who loves ships.

Good evening boat friends and Mike, you always show us new awesome combinations, the Canadian Royal Air Force Snowbirds and the Beatrix. I love those vessels, nice shape and color. In the Chicago area you can see more Wagenborg ships, sometimes up to four vessel can be seen there at the same time. Wagenborg has a very big fleet, not only general cargo vessels, also bulkers, heavy cargo carriers, tugs and offshore supply ships. They also operate a salvage department and last but not least a heavy cargo land transport company.

Wow, a great display of the Canadian air force precision flying. We used to live only 2 miles out from the end of the runway at Mira Mar air station. In the 1980s into the 1990s it was the TOP Gun naval air school. We went to the Mira Mar air show several times. For one show in the later 1980s a F-14 appeared before the airshow far to the east. The show as about to begin. It was an instructor from the Top Gun school flying a 2 engine F-14 at just under the sound barrier. I / we could see it coming from maybe 10 miles east and low to the ground. There was no sound it was just below the sound barrier. He flew right over the crowd with not sound at all. Once over us passing he was below 400 feet on the flight line. There was a sudden shock wave, heat wave, and a huge bang of ear breaking sound. I can see why a jet nearing the sound barrier flying over the enemy is terrifying. Later in the air show a F-14 lined up to take off on the runway. It was the full cornel in charge of the Top Gun school. The F-14 was in the air well before the end of the runway. The F-14 went straight up full power. it broke the sound barrier maybe over 3 or 4 miles above ground. The power of the Navy's F-14 was incredible on display. They often flew from the Navy air craft carriers days before the ship came back to san diego. The air wing from the ships would come back days early and leave days after the ship sailed overseas into the Pacific ocean. The value of all the air craft on the carrier is about the same worth as the entire ship.

Jet aircraft show from Canada Snowbirds and an International sea going ship. Mike thanks for another wonderful video. I was a jet engine mechanic in the US Navy 🇺🇸. So aircraft and ships are my interest as well Mike. Bravo Zulu to you Skipper as you operate your own surface vessel. ❤

@@vibewithmike Hey Mike. I was an aircraft mechanic in the Navy. I got to see the Blue Angels practice their routine in Pensacola a couple of times. As far as jets I got to see those for four years. It was an awesome expirience.

These ships are more than objects that move by us. There’s a lot going on in the world. However, these ships allow us to relax for a moment and think about something that is very pure and noncontroversial. I love these ships! I can tell you love the ships too. I’m lucky to live by this Lift Bridge here in Duluth, so the least I can do is post fun videos documenting the ships into peoples living rooms, on phones, or any other way they consume KZbin. Love seeing the jets flying over the lake. I did that one summer back in the 80's when I watched the Chicago air show out on Lake Michigan on my brothers' boat. It really gives you a fantastic view watching from the lake. This is my first view of the Beatrix. She is a beautiful looking Cargo ship. I absolutely love the views you give us of the ships moving from the advantage point of your boat Mike. That was so cool of the crew to give you a wave Mike. Fantastic views & video Mike! Much better than my videos of the air show. Years ago I got to watch the Blue Angels practice while I was on a clipper ship in the SF Bay. Those guys flew upside down so close to us you could see them checking out the girls in bikinis on our boat.

All of these pilots are unbelievable. The training they have is so comprehensive. I’ve watched videos of these jets where the people flying them could literally touch the other jet. They are that close. What an unbelievable thing to watch.
