Probably because in original barney errors if you would waste your chances he would ground you as a father would do with their child. It was kind of weird especially knowing that barney errors can happen to anyone even adults. Here it feels more natural as it was probably targeted towards children

@@hungariancartman No, barney errors aren't real actual viruses. However there are fanmade replicas of them online

@@hungariancartman Basically a barney error would start with a crash screen, usually a blue screen of death (BSOD). Then it would follow with a screen with barney on it, with text under it reading "We've interrupted your computer session to bring you a Barney error." or something along the lines of that. The error would explain that barney was killed by some guy, I assume this murder was the reason for this error. Then you were given a set number of chances and a timer indicating how long the error was. You weren't allowed to turn off the error or else you will lose a chance. From me memory more things would count as a turn off such as - blocking your screen (As in covering it IRL). - resetting it - putting it on standby or sleep mode - calling barney names - attacking or breaking the screen - calling someone on skype or discord (them calling you counts too). - using your phone - walking away from your PC - or even sleeping counts as a turn off. This can be bad considering the timers on these things can last for days, even months. If you waste enough of them and Barney would go into his "Evil mode". Its just barney with red eyes and sharp teeth, it looked corny as hell. If you waste all of them, usually you would be given a prompt to enter a code, usually it was "4 8 15 16 23 42" if I'm wrong I will correct it. The user will almost always fail, it being by typing random numbers, almost guessing correctly, or guessing currently but the error says you got it wrong anyways. It will ground you and then kill your PC's software, as it delete all system files, forcing you to either get a new PC or download another operating system.

Full story: I had a dream that I was on my phone (kinda usual dream for some reason) and it detected moisture, this seemed realistic to me as the chargers I use give me this problem, anyways I decided to leave it alone, then I checked my phone for and 'harmful' apps, seriously! Shouldn't google apps check every nook and cranny for a virus? Well, it said "No Harmful Apps Found" Then my screen had a flash of white light. Then another.. Then I had to log into my google account to try to stop it, and it started getting personal like asking me questions about me.. Because that was required for my SCHOOL account not my normal one. Anyways, I woke up cold-faced, heart beating, I didn't wanna experience my phone getting destroyed again. Now I'm here, writing my comment.. Again, thanks VL❤
