Superb. Possibly the best version of "Straight To Your Heart" I've heard yet. Magnificent.

Great band. remember hearing "Straight To Your Heart" on Peel & it having a strange children's nursery rhyme/children's story in the middle of it (or was it just the questionable substances I was taking during that era?) Remember seeing them at the Treworgey festival in Liskeard, Cornwall in 1989 under similar chemical circumstances as mentioned above. Mind blowing. Thee Hypnotic's were on before or after them on the same stage. cosmikkkkkkkkkk

Simon, I heard that version of Straight To Your Heart on John Peel also. It was a child talking about monkeys or something. I spoke to Robert from the band about it a few months later at one of their shows and they weren't aware of it, in fact assumed I was on questionable substances too haha. I eventually gave up asking if anyone had heard this rare version / assumed it was a Peel segue. PS. I was at Treworgey too, Loop were on after Thee Hypnotics.

Probably among the best 50 noise-psych-rock bands ever born in England. Only 8600 reproductions of such iconic band, song and record is a bloody disgrace. A signal of the power of the horrible lowest common denominator that rules the popularity of a band.

I think you are ,mistaking with Spacemen 3, who Loop ripped off.
@awrygargoyle4 жыл бұрын
@@eatlights That's the oldest and falsest statement made by Spacemen 3 when they were high as a kite probably (after reading Will Cartuthers bio). They had a passing resemblance at some point I give you that... I can even give you, that there might have been even some influence at the start but that's all... Nonetheless, you really don't know what you're missing and should listen to them properly (The Peel Sessions are perfect for that) and may be you'll see the clear difference. There's no folk undertones in Loop as there is no industrial ones in Spacemen. They existed at the same time and space, and that's all there is to it...your loss anyway...weak comment by the way.
