15:46 A brilliant session by Joy Division followed up by V2 whose drummer was Steve Brotherdale and had previously played in Warsaw until July 1977.

I know many Joy Division fans swear by Martin Hannett's production, but here are the boys stripped down in front of a mic. And they deliver the goods. Plenty of bottom end here. What a band! (And what a change since then from Peel's comments on their popularity.)

Yes! Thank you so much! @Vibracobra23. One of the best from Joy Division.. ...for more of the many thousands of peel session recordings from the 60s 70s and 80s this one sounds particularly hi-fi...clear vocals, dry drums, clear and dry bass...noisy crunchy guitar, weird sounding synth and keyboard effects...it's a mix of light and dark.
