These might be good for me for reasons you probably wont have thought of (no reason why you would) Im a wheelchair user and for one thing i prefer a softer shoe as theyre kinder to my sensitively skinned feet. but the main reason i think they might work for me is to be honest sometimes there are occasions, mostly around my house, where i have to get out of my chair and shuffle about a bit as my current house isnt 100% accessible (been in it since i was 2, im used to it), if i do that with 'normal' shoes on more often than not they come off my feet, i dont think these would. And when having a shuffle about i can risk scraping skin as i did not long ago, i think these would protect against that. glad i saw this lol.

I’m a triathlete. I use water shoes. Body glove. I just buy an inner sole from Walmart. The body glove water shoe is zero drop. And minimalist. But very cheap. The sole doesn’t last that long. I’d say 4-5 months......I’m not saying this in any way is better than vibramS just live in a place where they are not available in any shop and I don’t want to buy them online. ......well, water shoes have served me well, they are cheap and because they are zero drop I have had no injuries for two years......I kinda feel that all brand name minimalist shoes are grossly overpriced.

There are several cheap options if you're running on flat pavement, but for uneven ground, something more stable is needed. Don't know if these shoes fulfill that, but Walmart water shoes do not.

I wore inserts from the time I was a teenager through until just a few years ago, and it took me that long to realize they do nothing and go no-where as afar as health benefits go. They are a useless waste of money and by the time I stopped using them my feet hurt so while wearing them I couldn't even walk my dog around the block. I decided I would never go back to the foot insert place, I had no interest in arguing with them or attempting to get my money back. I stumbled upon vibratos being discounted heavily at a outdoors store and bought a pair. I was able to strengthen my feet to where they no longer hurt while walking and haven't had a problem since. I find the shoe itself you wear is the most important thing, there are good one and bad one's and everything in between. Support is key, especially with regards to the firmness of the material they use for the soles. I wear a pair until they just get blown out and have nothing left and they need to be replaced. These vibrates you've got look fantastic, didn't even know they existed. My favourite is running in them, but it has to be on grass for that added level of softness that can't be found on concrete. Great stuff!!

I got some skate shoes because I liked the way they looked, however, I noticed that they were extremely comfortable and different from other shoes because skaters need to be able to “feel” the ground/deck through their shoes to perform certain tricks. @Cynthesis216 жыл бұрын
+Mrnjaou That is not good advice. If you want to do some class 3 terrain or just steep hiking, you are much better suited with low cut shoes. You need the flexibility. Higher cut hiking shoes are best for longer trips on class 1 terrain. For hiking on rocks, steep terrain, or class 3 terrain go with either approach shoes or low cut hiking shoes that have a contact patch on the toes (flat spot on bottom underneath the toes with no tread for maximum traction on rock).

Have yet to see a better (especially minimalist) shoe company then vibram 9.5/10. Would recommend. Would be 10/10 if they were viable for use in urban environment, you are however bound to get pricked stuck with something like a needle if you wear these all the time and get careless.

who the fuck walks on needles regardless of what shoe you are wearing? And yes, I live in a big city

is this suitable for dancing? I have hard time with shin splints and I don't know if these are good for me?:))
@NTCReviews7 жыл бұрын
Hello July, I'm not sure how well they will perform for you as far as dancing goes. I guess it depends on the type of dancing as well as the floor that you are utilizing. As far as shin splints, It depends on the person and the cause of the shin splints... many variables come into play. I have seen people with shin splints benefit from minimalist footwear and I have seen others who's symptoms seemed to worsen. Sorry I couldn't be more help but I do not want to give you false information. -Hg

hello! are they good at sliding/gliding on tree floor? i do hip hop dance!
@NTCReviews7 жыл бұрын
These would not work well for that purpose because you will get too much friction and traction from the tread on the soles. I hope that helps. -Hg

I bought a pair for running. They pretty much started to fall to pieces after just a couple weeks.

omar belove Yea, they’re def not a running shoe. They’re built more for casual wear and the occasional hike.

Would you recommend these as a semi-casual shoe for long term use? I'm a peace corps volunteer who has to walk at least 8 km on a daily basis and can't really afford to spend a lot on shoes that will wear out fast, and the tiny tread has me iffy on this.
@NTCReviews7 жыл бұрын
They certainly are built to last. The tread is thin when comparing them to a hiking boot. But as far as minimalist shoes go, this is some of the thickest tread that I have seen. I have a pair of Vibram Bikila's that I used to train for and to run the NYC Marathon in 2011. The tread is much thinner on the Bikila's than the Furo's and I still use them for hiking & running. I hope that helps. -Hg

How do you feel this shoe compares to the Fivefinger version in terms of foot slippage in high traction movements (steep down hill/suicide sprints)?
@NTCReviews7 жыл бұрын
Hello Jack, I would definitely take my VFF's over these for those activities. The fit on the VFF'S is more precise so they handle those activities a bit better. I hope that helps. -Hg

I have a couple of pairs and although they are very comfortable to walk in there not great for running. They slide and it may cause blisters on your toes.

I've started a pressure washing business to make a little money on the side, do you think these shoes would be OK with all the water?
@NTCReviews6 жыл бұрын
Hello Michael, they may be a bit to much "slippage" when they get soaked. They are fine when exposed to water for a bit but for the long haul, they may not suit your needs. I hope that helps. -Hg

Guys if you are looking to purchase these buy them off the wish list app. The official vibram site sells them for about 110. Wish sells it for 20+(depending on which deal you come across) they look exactly the same as the original. They even come in a vibram box and the little bag. I've had them for 3 weeks now and have used them for crossfit. They are still in really good shape only thing is that the bottom rubber is dirty(what do you expect).
