Appreciate you watching! That last step in this video is hands down the most important part of all my edits involving color

Thanks for the video. I was looking for the link to your tone curve in the description as you mentioned in the video. You said it was on your patreon but but I can't find the link to it. Would you mind sharing it again? Thanks

Hi Evan, might have met you before - not sure, but you may have attended one of my street photography meet ups. Anyway, it's nice to see someone who appreciates color in SP. There are a lot of older photographers from my era who adamantly shoot black and white without consideration. In several of our meet ups we deliberately chose color and made it its own character as part of a series. Take care!

Damn! You go so fast in these vids, but the info is so great! Thanks for sharing your expertise! The subtleties are so minimal, yet impact the final image so nicely.

Thanks for all those tips. The Calibration panel can also be a big help to twist and personalize the color rendition just a tad if you use it carefully. Was afraid of it before but I love it now as it often permits me to skip using PS for that.

hey evan, how do you make a horizontal photo to fit a 4:5 aspect ratio when adding your white frame in photoshop?

As someone that has taken 10s of thousands of photos I do not think that I have ever really done post processing to any of them.. Where would be a good place for someone like myself to learn the ins and outs of post processing and maybe bring some new life to some of the photos I have taken over the years?
@levenmedia2 жыл бұрын
Look up color theories, Lightroom basics, etc.. I'd throw all of your photos into Lightroom and just sit down and edit for hours adjusting all of the sliders to the extreme of both sides to get a feel for what each feature does such as contrast, saturation, clarity, sharpening, highlights/shadows

so then what's your storage method for the extra step? Do you just make a photoshop file for each image and save it along side the raw files?
@Baudryvincent2 жыл бұрын
That's what I do, plus the benefit of launching it through Lightroom is that once saved the .psd is automatically re-imported in LR alongside the original picture in your catalog.
