I agree on this. 370Z tends to run at 190F at low loads, and around 195 ish at high loads. Got me a Z1 25 row oil cooler with a thermo sandwich plate. Now it runs at 180F at low loads and 175F at high loads. Perfect temp, will not cook your oil and will maintain perfect viscosity for lubing. No thinning. It’s a must for desert applications.

Thanks for this vid! Was thinking of other ways of routing the oil cooler lines and didn't consider going across the oil pan to the driver side.

@@VibrantPerformanceTV Thank you! Can i ask why adapt twice on each side? Would it not be better to use something like 29908 to connect the hose directly to the adapter plate? And m22 hose fitting on the cooler side?
@mypinkjistring Жыл бұрын
@@seethruhead7119 The oil cooler we used came with the M22 x -10AN fitting so we decided to use what was provided. As for the sandwich adapter side, the decision to use the tight radius 90 deg ORB x AN adapter was done on the fly due to clearance issues and unfortunately, we didn't have 29908 with us at the time. 29908 probably would've worked too in this situation.

@@mypinkjistring thank you! what about the mounting bracket for the oil cooler to the radiator support (top right angle bracket) ?
@mypinkjistring Жыл бұрын
@@seethruhead7119 it was a special order part through Z1 Motorsports that usually comes in a kit.

Why did you retain your stock oil cooler? That seems strange to be running the stock and Setrab. Did you just leave that to be able to use the male threaded stud pipe? I wish Vibrant had a male stud option that comes with the sandwich kit. I was not able to use the supplied Vibrant stud pipes. It was not as universal of a kit as I had hoped.

hmm...yo my dude. Most oil containers nowadays have like a measurement marking on the side of the container with a window. Castrol has it, Valvoline has it. And I am pretty sure , Motul would have it.
