Something no one mentions is that you need to have lots of space between your palm and the neck. But to achieve that the violin needs to not slide down, so unless your violin positioning is good, you will always have the neck slide down into your palm constricting you.

Flat position is better to vibrate but how can you make nice double stop if both fingers are flat without mute the another upper string? Thanks 😊
