WOW! I was 7 years old in 1955 when I played my first pinball machine. The game was called “picnic”. From that on I became hooked on pinball. I followed the ball with my head do to the fact, that I am legally blind. I own a real pinball TOUCH DOWN by Williams. Yay my launching the ball through pins. I prefer to play EM machines. I played many of the games you have in this’ video. Thank God for people like you continue to keep the memories alive.

I agree....Joel's collection of wood rials not only look amazing but played awesome too. He has a lot of the most desirable Gottlieb single player games Gottlieb ever produced. One of my favorite wood rails i played in his collection was WORLD CHAMP. All though i have played many others wood rails at other collector homes...WORLD CHAMP was one wood rail i never played and is now one i can rate high up on the top of the chart. The other two i never played were Gottlieb's 1950 BANK A BALL and Genco's SPRING TIME which i thought were unique fun challenging players. The BANK A BALL had a waiting line to be played by all of Joel's guests...just like if it were on route in a candy store of arcade. Another i played about 10 or so games was Genco's SHOW BOAT. This game played looked and played just like a Gottlieb and the playfield layout is similar to Gottliebs 1950's ROYAL FLUSH game. Joel's line up of games are sensational! Many thanks go out to Joel for having us over to see/play a collection of a lifetime.

Simply amazing collection! Good to see people think so highly of Star Jet ...that was my first pinball I got at about age 12 (still have it and so fitting as the hobby turned into a business with dozens of pins refurbished) and I had no idea this particular pin was going to be so cool & famous featuring the first ever contemporary style Multiball where balls can be locked and released just like modern games (and the multiball counts as one ball in play). There were of course other games where many balls can be played at the same time, but they did not have the "modern" lock & release style. So in a way Star Jet not only had a futuristic space flying car theme, it also had a futuristic feature of Multiball, utilized on just about every pinball machine in the last 30 years. I have one woodrail, a 1957 Gottlieb Royal Flush. Appreciate the filming of this collection.

At 7:30, Vic talks about multiple Special on wedgeheads. 1963 Slick Chick wedgehead can reward up to 5 specials on one shot. To do this you'll need to complete Slick Chick 5 time, also complete 1 thru 4 roll overs in order, then hitting the gobble hole will reward the player all 5 specials. If you don't have all four, it will reward you 1 special for the gobble hole then 1 for each roller over completed in order.
@viccamppinball Жыл бұрын
I played Slick Chick many times at other collectors pinball gatherings and could never beat it for the 5 SPECIALS on one shot. This is very to hard to complete, even the seasoned great EM players find it challenging. For sure it’s a gorgeous looking Gottlieb Wedge Head! Thanks for sharing your “Game Play” comments.

On many early woodrail games, an award scoring multiple replays is typically referred to as an "Extra Special." It was largely used in flipperless games.

@@viccamppinball I've owned the machine for about 1.5 years. So far, the best I've done was having the #1-3 out when hitting the gobble hole specials. It did award me 5 replays but one of them was for High Score (1 for special, 1 for high score, and 3 for roll overs completed)

Absolutely impressive collection!!! On a whim, we bought 2 woods - Silver, Lady Robin Hood. Currently, im repainting playfield areas on LRH - slowly and meticulously. Vic or Joel - in your experience, what do you think about these two wood rail machines - desirable or not much? Absolutely love your gameroom! Im a billiard guy first, and just started with pinball. We went from a thought of having one, and now have 8. Do these things reproduce when left alone? You guys are awesome! Im a new fan and subscriber!
