What a wonderful gentleman. Vic was a fabulous musician. Halarious wit. An immeasurable asset to the Musicians Union in Nashville. It hurts to have lost him. He was/is loved.

Weldon Myrick and Hal Rugg on the steel guitars, Leon Rhodes ont he electric, Raph Davis playing the accoustic rhythm guitar directly behind the group, and Harold Weakley playing drums for them (with the glasses). The yellow backdrop is of the Little Debbie Snack Cakes, who sponsored the 10-10:15 pm portion of the Saturday night Grand Ole Opry. Wonderful memories - have been looking for the videos of the PBS Opry for years. They represent the last glory days of the Opry.

Started as a Polish folk song. "Pytała Się Pani" (The Lady Asked), Then as the Westphalia Waltz (which is what I knew it as). Great tune, no matter, sounds great here also. Regards

Ohhh Lordy that is just fabulous ! Im not a fan of the accordion but this guy makes it work with tasteful playing . I love Emmylou's version best but this was an extremely close one.

Vic Willis was the sweetest man. How wish he were alive today. I'm a huge accordian fan. I could use his help. Curtis Young (vocalist in this film) is alive, well, and totally groovy. Now singing with the Jordanaires. (Check out my videos) They are the one-and-only coolest quartet ever!
