Nice video! Two comments. The islands in the distance are not Mull, but Jura and Scarba, Mull being much further away. Secondly, the VICs (of which there were 99 to two different designs (66 ft long and 80 ft long), built by various shipyards around the UK, were ordered from 1941 onwards for Naval supply purposes by the Ministry of War Transport MoWT. "VIC" stands to Victualling Inshore Craft.

Went on many trips with my Tug Boat Captain ... sailing the Great Lakes here in Canada. Your film brings back many wonderful memories of being out on the open waters of Lake Superior, Lake Michigan & Lake Huron ... Thank you for allowing me to reminisce :o)

Beautiful photography, though it would be great if there was a muzac-free alternative with just the atmospheric sounds of wind and water and steam.

Thanks for putting up this video. I have a 4ft long version of the same vessel, took me 3 years to build...the perfect way to travel around the Scottish Isles..great stuff?

Many years ago, I remember, on my downtime from working on the nearby Old Poltalloch Salmon farm, laying creels just of those small islands in front of the Corryvreckan. A fair bit of a current, but very good spot for Lobster.
