Jeremy, I've never met you in person, but wanted to say that your kickflip melon grab sequence at night... I saw that in a book in the library when I was a kid. That was one of the coolest things, I don't know why but that grab stuck un my head my whole life. That's what got me psyched on skateboarding. Thanks for all the years of everything!!!

This is one of those legends that came around after my youthful interest in skating had transitioned to girls and being in bands. So while I’ve heard his name, I wasn’t aware of his importance and role within skating and in that curious time in the early 90’s when it was only the most dedicated who carried the flame that burst back into life after the X-Games and, where I noticed it, around city-hall in Philadelphia. What a cool guy and linked in some way to so many of the skaters I most admire: Best friends with Templeton for 6 months, helped Rowley feel welcome in the US, boosted Reynolds, and helped shape Heath into who he became? Totally awesome. I love how spooked Heath looks at that dinner, a guy who regularly trips out others with his intensity and directness. A thousand thumbs-up, guys.

I started skating in '97,The End was one of my first videos and it instantly made me a lifelong Heath Kirchart fan; those fake skate sounds are also seared into my brain. Being from that era it was moving to see so many of the people that made that time special for me all in this one documentary: Rowley, Ed, Reynolds, Atiba, and of course Heath. There is so much more to say but the biggest takeaway was the growing apart from people who at one time you were really close to.

Hook ups graphics got me into skating back in 95. No one else knew what anime was at my school at the time, so I felt so cool being the only guy with anime shirts. He's graphics and skating stuck with me through all these years. I'm so glad he's still making the boards and clothes and I am now glad to be the only 40yo guy with anime tiddies on my hoodie in my neighborhood. Thanks for all you've done Jeremy. You fukin rock!!

I had a bunch of skate videos before 1993 but my neighbor let me borrow The Real Video and Birdhouse Ravers in 1993 and I never gave them back. These two videos defined a lot for me and that period of skateboarding. I studied them everyday for at least a year. And the part I watched the most would be the Jeremy Klein part. Looking back its hilarious, as a 12 year old kid trying to push Cocteau Twins on your friends at school and dressing like him. This man did more for skateboarding than people acknowledge. Great episode. I'll have to track down Bob Donis and send him the link for this.

One of my favourites growing up. Super surprised and stoked he agreed to do an episode. CHEERS! "watching the footage degrades it.." spike's theory is an interesting one and i kind of understand. he is a purist. and the most passionate film maker we know. and i can only relate this attitude to beholding footage in a similar sense that when you take a moment out of a moment to capture it, it kind of tarnishes the moment in some way. like for instance the social media implication to publicly share a catch up with friends by way of photo evidence will strip away from the purity of that moment.. in that there is never any need to include people who aren't present. note: this might be complete garbage what i wrote but hopefully someone gets me. thankyou Patrick and team for this gem

I was just talking about this but, as per usual, got shadowbanned. YT keeping the G's down. Must be another day ending in Y. Anyways, not sure if the ones uploaded here are all of them but, there's a missing one from around 2011 which he used to promote the return of Hook Ups. He brought the decks which would form the 1st batch of reissues. Sadly, downloaders weren't a thing back then. If they were, I would have downloaded it immediately like I do with the videos I like now. And y'all should do the same. YT's been smoking that pack lately, channels and their content are disappearing left and right. The video you like today, could be gone tomorrow. If you do so, next thing you know, you'll see yourself with a well sized collection of lost media.

Man this is a great fucking video, I had forgotten just how damn good he was. Thanks so much for making this doc of Jeremy, a lot of these younger skaters need to see that even in the early 90's skating was getting so Tech. Great Great watch my friends!!

I am not a skateboarder but this story is about finding your joy and being unapologetically yourself. These men have lived life. Congratulations.

I'm so glad I was a part of this history in skateboarding. I'll never forget watching Rubbish Heap every single day when it first came out and being blown away by Jeremy Klein. Geez he was so young then, we all were.

Rad interview. Jeremy was my second favourite street pro after Matt Hensley. Every skater should know what he contributed to skateboarding
