Those little triangular windows used to be called No-Draft windows back in the day. They were designed for smokers, as it allowed the smoke to escape without letting in the rain on a rainy day. It was also much quieter than having the larger window rolled down.

no, I don;t recall ever hearing them called that. I'm 60 years old. they were called vents, open the vents....but yes smokers used them, to suck out the smoke

I had a series of 8 Alfas in a row, back in the 80s and 90s. They all (the old 105 series based cars) had those windows, I used them to stop turbulence and wind noise with the main window down. Worked a treat to help airflow over the inside of the windscreen in winter too, although I remember having a wet knee where the rain would drip off the corner into the car.

No offense you should think about acquiring a packing blanket from Hobo Freight. It can not only be used to lay on while changing your oil but it can double as a seat cover on your slightly worn bench seat in your newly aguired '66 Waylon. They also dont take up much space. Just a thought.

In NC if your vehicle is over 35 years old. You can drive in NC only with year of make plates. As long as all you reg. and ins. paperwork is up to date and ready for anyone to see. I was driving my 84 Capri RS 5.0 around with 1984 Cal. Summer Olympics vanity plates. I have 1963 NC Horseless Carriage plates on the ready for my F350 4x4 dump truck. Other great thing about NC is any vehicle over 50 years old requires no annual inspection.
