Surprised and not surprised Neguin gave this one to Victor. He’s all about dynamics. But Victor had more of the brand recognition during this stage in their rivalry. I think everyone realized at this point how beast Issie was going to be. Not to get ahead of myself but young 15 year old Issie (demolishing R16) seems to be at the height of his quickness and stamina. As he developed he started slowing down and adding more style and top rock. Victor has has a classic style that’s hard not to recognize. What an amazing art breaking is.

I'm an Issei Fan so don't hate Issei came with TOOO much power, yes he did a lot of crowd pleasing moves but he didn't do enough footwork. Vicious Vic was more all-rounded than Issei this time.

Coming back and watching this years later........yeah, Vic had more style and diverse moves. Not taking anything away from Issei but this shows that variations of the same power moves don't always translate into wins. Both BBoys are beasts in their own right........look at them now, 6 years later💯

it depends on the music ..you can't do same sets with different music.. VV killed the beats here specially at the 3rd round..from toprock to floorwork,VV was perfect.

judges score the battle based on rounds. imo victor won the first round because he showed expertise in all areas whereas issei only used power. issei won the last round since victor didn't do much. the closest round was the second and it could've gone either way. i can see why the judges gave it to victor though. again, he showed expertise in all areas and blended them together perfectly, whereas issei used a scripted footwork set into dynamic power.

Lssei is no doubt an amazing bboy. Truthfully Vicious Victor, was the more well rounded bboy. Everyone witnessed Roxrite take BC ONE last year with no "tricks." You don't need super power moves to win.

Victor won the first 2 clearly and then the 3rd round is arguably a tie. I'm scratching my head at the outpouring of people who say Issei got robbed because this is at least a close battle.

Victor rode the beat better and had more style therefore I think he won. Issei was more dynamic with his power moves but he wasn't listening to the music. Issei was merely displaying his moves while Vicious was dancing.

Issei threw too much power, and not dynamic enough in his range of abilities. His sets were all ground power, while they were sick, lost to Vicious's versatility. Am I saying Vicious is more versatile as a bboy, overall? I can't make that judgement. But as far as THIS battle goes, Vicious showed he was.

Issei landed his moves , but vicious showed a lot more creativity and made a hardcore beatkill and landed his freeze then perfect towards issei in his first round. I mean issei just brought dynamics and in his third round a bit of footwork which wasn't that good. Issei would kick my ass in every battle at every time for sure , but in my opinion vicious took that and that the crowd is booing is so fucking whack , because the judges know what they are doing.

Vicious was completely all round showing power, footwork, style, flow and musicallity to a very high level, he also had alot more character and stage presence than issei. isseis power was a high level, however everything else was slightly lacking

sometimes the internet community needs to trust the judges. they've traveled the world, meeting bboys, winning jams and pioneering the dance. if you have a different opinion, just realize that it's different for a reason. someone who watches battles/sessions will have a different opinion from someone who has experienced what those judges have experienced. i'm not speaking for everyone, but the average bboy has observed the dance for a mere fraction of how long these judges have been living it.

Why is everyone favoring Issei? I love Issei's style, but just dynamic moves won't win the battle. Victor brought it hard with foundation and musicality plus his signature dynamic moves. He's completely well-balanced. In my opinion, the judges picked the right bboy to go in the next battle. Stop hating on Vicious, and stop dickriding Issei. Peace.
