3:48 there are only 50 states sweetheart not 51 Thanks so much for this detailed tour! I can't wait to see all of the places you mentioned in this video. I've only been to Vicksburg downtown and to US Cairo Museum, I can't believe we didn't tour the whole city when I was there. After watching your video, I wanna go back soon! 😍✈️

Haha...she was embarrassed that she did not know, but who could blame her being from another country. If she asked us how many provenience's there were in Romania (where she is from), we would not be able to answer. ;-) So glad you enjoyed the video. Hope you get a chance to visit again one day soon. Thanks again for watching. Cheers, Mike

The door in the haunted house looks upside down. Don't mind the negative comments. I am planning a trip to Mississippi this weekend and need to decide between Vicksburg, Jackson and Meridian. This video is great. Thank y'all for exploring and sharing. I love tomatoes. 😋

Ha, yeah, it could be. Thank you so much for the kind words. If I were you, I'd go to Vicksburg and Natchez (about 1.5 hours south of Vicksburg). Safe travels and thanks for watching. Cheers, Mike

Next time you go to Rusty’s try the fried green tomatoes…if you like crab meat…you will LOVE them… Sorry I have to plug Rusty’s….he’s my cousin and a great chef on top of that… plus he’s a super nice guy.. so stop in if your in Vicksburg…also tomato place is right next to where we live.. you even pointed the camera right at our drive way off 61… so thank you for showing the Tomato Place… one of our small treasures in Vicksburg.. they make the best watermelon smoothies also..I went to school with the daughter of the gentleman who owns it.. yes small town…seems like I know everyone…if you ever back this way please show Fort Hill… has one of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see…also that is where I proposed to my wife 29 years ago… still feels like only yesterday though…

Thank you so much! I'm sure you would really enjoy Vicksburg. Ha, I'll let Miha know you said so, she is from Romania, but spent a lot of time in Belgium, so her accent is, shall I say, refined European (not just Romanian). Thanks for watching, much appreciated. Cheers, Mike

I'm glad to see you visiting this part of the country, however, sadly, you missed a huge part of the history and culture of this area. While you talked about the Civil War, there was no acknowledgement of the cotton industry and slavery, on which, that entire community was built. That haunted house you walked into had a bigger story than just ghosts and furniture. We can't continue to dance around, or worse, be ignorant to, the parts of American history that are unpleasant. That beautiful, young woman from Romania passed through all of that town without learning anything about Native Americans and African Americans. It's like taking a visit to Auschwitz and only talking about the architecture of the buildings. I hope you will study the real history of that area and re-visit. It's not to be trivialized. It's a rich, very important part of the American story

Thank you Carolyn for watching our video and for the thoughtful reply. You make some great points. That said, we only spent 3 days in Vicksburg, so it's a bit tough to learn all about the history in such a short amount of time. Additionally, we came at this from more of a tourist point of view and not necessarily history. I do get your point though, it would have been nice to include more history given its important to the culture. Again, I appreciate you leaving such an insightful comment. Hope you will check out some of our other road trip travel videos. Cheers, Mike & Miha.
