I struggled with my sexuality for 38 years. I came out at 38 and lost my ministry and everything I had nearly. I became angry with God and fell away for 15 years but I've come back to God and I'm on the journey of discovery Tha God really loves me as I am because He created me this way. I ask the Lord to use me again! I want to worship with other believers again. I want to preach and teach again. I want to open a shelter for homeless LGBTQ youth. Here I am Lord! Use me!

She's most certainly not anointed. You never found it suspicious these people "educating" you on what the Bible "really" says about sexuality 90% of the time refuse to debate the topic with scholars who actually teach Koine Greek or Hebrew or Bible scholars in general? Only a handful of times they have and faired terribly. Matthew Vines even said he's exclusively looking to speak to those who he feels confident he can convince. In other words, he's looking for the naive and impressionable and not really speaking out of conviction and confidence in the information. That should raise a red flag for you.
@brianbfree232810 ай бұрын
@@The_Word_Is_The_Way well since you're well verrsed with Koine Greek tell us what the original text says? Whether Vickie or Matthew know what the text says or not there are other Bible Schloars who believe the Bible doesn't condemn LGBTQ people for having a healthy, loving relationship. Personally, my spirit isn't convicted about it and that's more important than anyone's opinion, because I know God through Christ Jesus for MYSELF. I have fellowship, I pray, I hear from the Holy Spirit with my own ears. I don't need a professor in Koine Greek to tell me how God feels about it. The truth will be revealed in the end when God calls His children out of time into eternity with Him. Those who confess Christ as the Atonement (not law practices) for their transgressions will dwell with God. By faith we are justified, not by good works. Read some more (Hebrews). The letter (law) kills but the Spirit gives life. If the law were appropriate for Atonement we wouldn't need the grace given in the New Testament . The New Testament shows examples of His grace through breaking traditions of sexism, misogyny, and slavery. Why wouldn't LGBTQ Christains be incorporated? Oh, in ypur mind they don't exist. Stay in your little brain and leave people alone.

I think it's a worrying sign if your talk at a "Christian" event is lauded by atheists. Atheists don't like reading the gospels, because Jesus did not affirm atheists. He called all people to repentance and faith in him.

I know this was a long time ago now but its still very much worth listening to. Vicky I loved being led in worship by you, it pains me that you were so much in internal pain, you wore your mask so well that I had no idea. It also pains me that you were and are so rejected by so many. You are so obviously a woman of God and all this rejection is so opposite to true Christian values. Keep strong, keep true to yourself, keep faith, keep making music for yourself and for others. Don't push it so far away because its a God given gift for you. You have led and will continue to lead people to God.

Preach the good news. Be ready at all times, and tell people what they need to do. Tell them when they are "wrong." Encourage them with great patience and careful teaching, because the time will come when people will not listen to the "true" teaching but will find many more teachers who please them by saying the things they want to hear. They will stop listening to the truth and will begin to follow "false" stories. 2 Timothy 4:2-4 NCV. When secular culture is your prophet, you have only one miracle: behavior that is "vile" and "sinful" miraculously being transformed into virtue! We shouldn't be surprised that the world is promoting sin, the sad part is that churches are also promoting sin. Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. Isaiah 5:20 KJV. 💒

As a straight man myself, I don't know why you would be so scared of LGBT people. Remember that Christians used to beat children for being left handed. @carmena.30827 жыл бұрын
Comments like this... I don't understand. you recognize her heart, you recognize her authenticity, you even extend a blessing, and then in the same breath, you extend judgement. you don't have to believe this is God's plan for her. she never asks you to believe that. it isn't between you, her and God. just as your personal walk with God isn't a panel discussion between you, Vicky and God. I won't even address the "choice" comment other than to say this, If you have heard Vicky's story at all, if you recognized her heart and authenticity, then you also know, the only choice she made in regards to her sexuality, was to be authentic, which you applauded, and condemned, in the same breath, so perhaps, the issue you have here, is not with Vicky at all, but with yourself.
@laurapiovan7 жыл бұрын
People can be guanine, and yet genuinely wrong about something. That does not make them evil, or "condemned'. I belive I might be wrong about stuff I am not aware of either. Maybe I have blind spots too. Just like everyone else, including Vicky.... possibly on the issue of homosexuality. The fact that she *might* be wrong doesn't mean she is "faking" stuff or that she is not genuine in her perception of things. Personally I consider it a real possibility that I may be wrong about stuff, and that I may find out some years down the road from now. (as it has already occurred in the past). I have already changed my mind on numerous issues during my life. So I am a rather critical / open minded person. I studied gender-issues, and I have listened to numerous witnesses and countless testimonies from people who once considered themselves homosexuals / born gay and who later eventually changed their mind about that. So I don't say stuff out of some mysterious "higher moral ground" but based on compassion and sincere love, for people who I know have struggled and yet found a different answer than Vicky. If it bothers you that I don't agree with some of Vicky's choices, and yet still respect her as a person, than you might be the one with some set of issues. And yes, I have read her story and listened to her video testimony.

@iitickle65103 жыл бұрын
@@jonsadler7693 What bible did you pull that from? Huh? NIV? Maybe if you did some historical research you'd find out that homosexual was translated from two different words, arsenokoitai and malakoi, arsenokoitai meaning man-bed and malakoi translating to weak or soft. Wasn't until the 1900s it was added during the same time people were bunching together homosexuals and communists. You should stick to reading KJV, it's more closely translated from Greek and Hebrew.
@jonsadler76933 жыл бұрын
@@iitickle6510 The KJV? Are you kidding? It's translated from the Textus Receptus - a good source to draw from at the time it was written, but we have much better manuscripts available now. Here's a video about the history of the KJV: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5mWnJJ3btqahdE (titled "Dr. James White: Which Bible translation is most reliable? Episode 1326") I think I used ESV, but check NASB, HCSB, and other word for words and you will find the same. And here's a video that goes into the historical context of New Testament verses which say that homosexual sex is a sin: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6naZXxro7ambpY (titled "Homosexuality: The New Testament Passages - part 2 of 4") I believe the Church could do with spending more time working out how to approach this topic pastorally, but we do nobody any favours by trying to warp scripture and fabricate different historical contexts in order to excuse sin. Also, I'm not singling out homosexual sex - any sex outside of the context of a marriage between one man and one woman is sin.

Jesus took issue with many scriptures that were outdated or just plain stupid. I believe that homosexuality is not a choice for many folks, perhaps not all of them, but many of them, and that the kingdom of God is available to them if they will believe in Jesus and follow him with all their hearts.

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. Romans 1 26-28. The law is made not for the righteous but for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me. 1 Timothy 1:10- 11.
