References and homages are all well and good, saath mein Jigra bhi release hui hai, Vasan Bala is KNOWN for his easter eggs. In Vicky Viday though, reference nahi poore poore scenes hain which feel the film isn’t so much as talking to you tongue in cheek, but is rather like that shaadi wala sast DJ joh wahee ek gaana 10 baar baja raha hai kyunki janta ne bola oho badey mazeydaar!

Was so seated for this, but the hollowness of the narrative takes you out so fast. By the time the unnecessary meta-riff on Stree came around, I had completely checked out of the story. The jarring tonal shifts are insane. But yeah, Rao and Dimri are at the top of their games, and one would hope they would be paired in a better film.

I laughed a lot during this movie even though there are many issues. Tripti is really good, Rajkumar also. The Stree integration and the preaching in the 2nd half were unnecessary. The whole theatre was laughing. I did have a good time despite some of the cringe moments.

Would this movie work tho for people who were born after 1997 or in 2000s and all? Like people like me wouldn't really get the nostalgia which they might be referencing from 90s. So is the movie only made for millennials and all. Khair I am still kinda excited for this as I love all the actors involved in it. This movie was such a cringe. I have never seen such a dumb doc like Tripti. National crush has crashed. Raj trying to be hero feels like lack of self awareness. Not everyone cannot be a hero. He looked old and cringe in comedy.
