Hi. I have been doing puzzles for 50 years and I'm sort of a pro. I won't do the easy ones. The harder, the better and I'm always looking for something that is harder than the last one. This one looks hard!!! My mom had gotten me a smuzzle puzzle thinking it would take me a while to complete it. She couldn't believe I finished it in one day. The only thing I need now is a puzzle board. I also separate my pieces but I use longer boxes cut from boxes that had other items in them. The length of my box is about 1/2 the width of a puzzle.

Hiya! I know what you mean; I love a challenge too - have you tried a Krypt puzzle? Or another solid colour one? They are a decent challenge for sure! 😃 This one was quite difficult, but there were definitely aspects to it that helped make it doable. I think using longer boxes is a good idea - for some reason I have never gotten around to making or buying dedicated boxes for sorting. One of these days I suppose…😊. Thank you so much for watching!

I really enjoyed watching you All I can say is you are an awesome, puzzle. It’s always great 👍 watching you, as I’ve said many times before you make it look 👀 so easy. I ordered my two Wasgij puzzles I can’t wait till they come. It’s a good think you don’t live closer I would be knocking at your door, who knows what hour of the night. Thanks Till next time Kathy E.

Hi. I had to tell you this. I started "the lines" puzzle. Opened the box and wondered why I was doing this to myself. lol. I got the outsides put together and then started working on the ones w/ 4 out and 4 in and thought, ok this isn't too hard. THEN the next day I tried to find more that fit... it took me 4 hours, FOUR, to find six pieces that match. I do NOT know how that happened cause I am really good at puzzles. My mom would have laughed and told me that she should have got me that puzzle instead of the smuzzle puzzle. Four hours. lol.
@Vickymakesandbuilds2 жыл бұрын
🤣 ha ha! That’s funny - I’ve been there, when your average speed is like 1 piece per hour or something. The green pieces of the wildlife puzzle was a lot like that for me 😍
@valderiwilliams99592 жыл бұрын
Guess what? I finally finished "The Lines" puzzle. OMG it was so hard. I can't believe it took me 3 1/2 months, especially seeing as I worked on it 4-5 hours a night. Even though when I was younger I worked on my puzzles less time, none of them took me this long. If you don't have it, you need to buy it. I am not sure which puzzle i'll do next, Clementoni 39526 Impossible 1000pc Puzzle Frozen 2 or Romantic star sea. Will let you know.

This video came up in my feed as I sort a similarly 'impossible' puzzle I picked up this week at Goodwill. First, it's not the puzzle on the box. It's another, much more difficult puzzle from the same series. Whoever donated it to Goodwill was a tricky puzzler! I thought I was getting Josie Lewis Rainbow Sunrise, but got Josie Lewis Slither.

I just got Romantic Star Sea in the mail today. Can't wait to start it but have to finish the one I'm working on now (Funky Records) and the Lines. I fixed my cardboard so that it will fit my longer puzzles. Also, I can not find the puzzle called The Shades anywhere in the USA. I want that puzzle so bad. lol. I thought I had left you the url but now I can't find it so maybe I didn't. If you need the url, let me know. Well, enough computer time for me. It's time to go work on my puzzle. :D

Romantic Star Sea looks like a beautiful puzzle. Is the lines the Bgraamiens one? I really must try one of those! I looked up The Shades, I found a Terry Pratchett one - is that right? Or is it a different one? I don’t remember seeing the URL, but my memory isn’t the best, so please pass it on! 😃
@victoriasellwood55712 жыл бұрын
@@VickymakesandbuildsThe Lines is the Bhraamines one. So is the Skyscraper, but that wasn't hard. It was fun though. The Shades is by Terry. For all I know, I was going to post it and then never did. lol. Looking at Bhraamines puzzles, The Forest in Black & White looks hard too. It has all the same shapes. Yikes. lol

I think I'll do my old puzzles again. It's been so long and it's not like I'm going to remember what goes where. lol. I am putting this puzzle on my Christmas wish list. I do have a 3D castle puzzle that I should get out and try again. I'll do that after I do "the Lines".

I was going to save this question for your next video with your large Disney puzzle but you did say you like questions. I watched someone complete a 24000 piece puzzle but it is separated into 4 bags. So did they complete a 24000 piece puzzle or did they complete four 6000 piece puzzles that they could just attach to each other when finished? I am not suggesting anyone should mix all the bags that would be insane but I just think it defeats the purpose of a big puzzle. I must admit that a puzzle with 6000 pieces would be the maximum I would attempt. P.S. I think the pink Krypt puzzle is a great idea.
@Vickymakesandbuilds3 жыл бұрын
I did say I like questions and thank you for asking one! 😁 To be totally honest, I wonder that myself sometimes - it is one of the reasons I did a double section (4400 pieces), because I felt like if I didn’t, I was denying myself the true challenge that a high piece count offers. Logistics is a bit of an issue for me though, I simply don’t have the space for building very big puzzles as a whole - even 4000 was difficult as I did most of it on the floor! I have been planning recently how I could feasibly do a 6000 piece puzzle, (because there are a couple that I quite like) and I think I have figured a way, but would struggle to do much bigger than that (from a space point of view). Having said all that, if someone said to me tomorrow, “Vicky, here is a giant table and a large puzzle that I want you to build, after mixing all the bags, just take all the time you need and have at it!” I’d say, “great! Just show me where the puzzle is.” Thanks for the feedback on the krypt - I’ve got a couple of other puzzles on the go just now, but the Krypt is one for this year definitely! Keep the questions coming and thank you for watching my videos. 😊

This is not the sort of puzzle I think I would enjoy due to the "infuriating" factor. Good for you for taking it on! Now that you know how long an impossipuzzle takes you, have you considered taking on a solid colour puzzle like the Ravensburger Krypt?
@Vickymakesandbuilds3 жыл бұрын
Oh, it was frustrating at times, definitely! Not so much that it took away the fun though 😁 I have actually been looking at the krypt puzzles for my first solid colour puzzle attempt - my Amazon wish list is full of them! 🤣 I quite like the pink one, although I’m told that the different colours aren’t all the same difficulty level and that black and gold are more difficult. I might try the pink as a starter (I suspect it will still be super hard though! 😂)
@westcoaster4213 жыл бұрын
@@Vickymakesandbuilds From the videos I've seen of people putting together the Krypt, the consensus is "Never Again!" Choose your colour wisely in case it's the only one you end up wanting to do! haha
@Vickymakesandbuilds3 жыл бұрын
🤣🤣 I will do! There is a new gradient version of it out now, but from what I’ve heard that one is quite easy. Think I’ll stick with pink to start, don’t want to make it too easy for myself! Lol.

An angular view when putting a piece in, and if they make snapping noises...an asmr-snap would be great anf satisfying as well for the viewers!! For any puzzle! Just my thoughts!! PS proper background music, though not your " signature " one, LOL!!

I wonder what is faster: 1) decide on a position and try the pieces until one fits 2) decide on a piece and try it in every currently available position 3) hybrid: try a piece in every available position, until there is an irregular shape needed, then find the irregular shaped piece that fits
@Vickymakesandbuilds2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm. Not sure, maybe the second one? 🤔 I usually do the first one, but I often wonder if that’s the most efficient way of doing it…
@kellieh48072 жыл бұрын
Wow this looks tough! People always think solid puzzles are hard, but the pattern of this one is actively working against you!
@Vickymakesandbuilds2 жыл бұрын
Yes, this one was hard - it was the big and slightly wonky shaped pieces that really helped me with this one 😊 I agree with you, it’s not always solid colour that can stump you, I did a puzzle once where there were loads of black tree branches set against a dark sky. It was a super hard texture to puzzle 😆

So you tried to do a puzzle based on the cut rather than the pic and were thwarted by the puzzle company, who clearly thought ahead.
