Thank you. I owned this for the African-American Verdi baritone debut of Mr. McFerrin. It’s wonderful, wonderful! I never heard a tenor say more appropriately to this daughter of the Pharoahs, “I would sooner DIE!” Either he is gay or simply not interested. They both retired the following year, La Stigmani, the great! …and Mr. Filippeschi. I have not heard anything like Stigmani since I left New York City Opera in PORGY and BESS. May she too rest in peace, our Annie.
