Thanks Mike for a wonderful tutorial. My chucks are in need of a good cleaning. Time to get started.

Thanks Mike, I just bought a used VM100 that needs this done to it. I had to change the spindle adapter from 1” to 1.25”, which was an easy job, but I’ve been a little hesitant about doing more than an outside wipe down with a rag with acetone on it. That helped, but it needs the thorough cleaning and relube you demonstrated. Thanks for the timely video. Cheers, Tom

Thanks goes out to Vicmarc. After re-assembling the chuck, I found an extra screw. Thanks, Vicmarc!

Another outstanding video. As has been said in some other videos, this is what KZbin is for! I'm glad your chuck gest debris and "crap" in it and you're willing to call it that. ;-)

If you have one available, do you recommend using an ultrasonic cleaner?

Ultrasonic cleaner would be a great way to go! -Mike 😊

When changing jaws, Record Power recommends snugging the screws, then closing the jaws completely, then tightening the screws. Is that just a Record Power thing, or is it a good idea for all chucks? (I have one RP and three VM.)
