Actually the meaning of Beat It is to NOT fall into the trap of doing violence and fighting. You should reread the lyrics. He is saying for young men to “Just Beat It” meaning to beat that temptation of giving into violence and to pull oneself away from fighting. It is a very important message because he is talking about young men who often find themselves in that position of feeling they have to prove their toughness or manliness by fighting but he is saying it is not worth it because you’re playing with your life and can end up dead. The chorus is “Beat it! No one wants to be defeated… It doesn't matter who's wrong or right. Just beat it.”
