Things must change. Innocent people should not have to be killed, abused, raped, assaulted, battered, or live in fear because dangerous people are protected under the guise of being unfortunate souls in need of understanding and sympathy. Innocent people are being sacrificed by our judicial system. We need for systemic change that prioritizes the well-being of law abiding citizens before that of violent, dangerous offenders. Our laws are way too lax and forgiving. I just saw a story about a father who violated his daughter and was given 10 years and let out in 2. Disgusting.
