It will be remembered as one of the worst days in Milwaukee's history. 15 years ago the big blue crane collapsed, killing three ironworkers at Miller Park.

28 years old and just now learning about this. To the friends and family of the men who lost their lives - you have my deepest condolences. This is a beautiful memorial they've set up. ❤️

Exactly 25 years later and I still never forget those who perished on 7/14/99.

@@geraldfahey2681 what I meant was some developers want to push for work to get done even if conditions are dangerous. That’s what I mean when I said greed.

But the statues aren't even of the workers. There wasn't a woman and there wasn't a colored guy.

Why does one of those statues look like a woman?

I honestly think project coordinator got in a hurry for that big and tap on the shoulder God bless the familys for there loss I was an operator once used flags for indicators wind is a big factor when dealing with so much heavy loads

that structural failure is the fault of the engineers. I don't care how fast the wind was. bullshit. I hope someone was indicted.
@kolsen6330 Жыл бұрын
In case you dont understand, ALL cranes have a high wind limit listed on the load chart. You shut down if the wind goes above that limit. Engineers have nothing to do with this failure.
