She adds grit to her vocal tone and in turn gives off more emotion and despair to the entire moment :) In the original song, the singer doesn't really add that grit or growl to their voice and they just shout (which they might not be able add that grit to their voice and that's fair) Maybe I'm not even making sense. It's hard for me to put into words how much better this singer is with this kind of song
