His sweeping his hair at the end is just a marvelous end to how he can switch his demolishing side to his alter-ego, business side. Please never leave us Victor (or Eric)

Not the pencil Victor...No, not the poor pencil! LOL But seriously, Y&R needs to bring back these musical cues. The old school music was haunting, chilling, intense, gothic-styled...all those things!

This is one of my favorite Y&R moments. Come to think of it most of my favorite moments occurred during the 1990s--Y&R's golden age. Jack's expression was priceless too. He was like, "oh please, get outa here with that." But Victor was, and still is a force to be reckoned with, even with a pronounced limp.

Eric Braeden is nothing short of Brilliant but don't forget Michael Zaslow (1944-1998) who played Roger Thorpe on Guiding Light on and off from 1971-1997. Remember how he threatened Jenna his wife at the time who was pregnant with his Baby. Another person who is brilliant was Larry Lamb from The UK Soap Opera Eastenders who played Archie Mitchell who kicked his estranged Family to The Curb on Xmas Day no less. He also played such a sweet guy on a Sitcom called Gavin & Stacey. Another "Feud" was with Mike Baldwin and Ken Barlow on Coronation Street.
@brandoncameron2686 Жыл бұрын
The nefarious Roger Thorpe. Oh my gosh. One of the biggest villains in daytime history. They finally shot the bastard in late 1993. There were like 10 or 12 suspects. Alex, Jenna, Billy, Dylan, etc. He finally got some comeuppance with the Who shot Roger? storyline. The Spauldings finally got their company back the day after he was shot. Pretty scary when a villain like Roger Thorpe had his hands on a powerful company like that (via Jenna Bradshaw Thorpe).
@laminage5 ай бұрын
Yes, but he didn't care about Jenna. To him Spaulding was an obsession. It represented everything he didn't have growing up. Riches, an Ivy League Education at Harvard, trips to Europe. Also Alex never forgave or forgot how Alan Michael Spaulding lost The Company. Then Buzz produces evidence that Jenna never owned Spaulding. Daddy gave up his rights and she didn't know. Alot of folks do that apparently. Yet when they paid homagge to Michael Zaslow at The Soap Opera Digest Awards, Eric Braeden and David Canary (Ex Adam/Stuart Chandler) All My Children (RIP) stood in respect for him knowing that in many ways they rode on his shoulders.

I know that Connie Victor's Former Secretary must have been glad she wasn't there. Poor woman would have had a breakdown. Also, I noticed that on UK Soaps there's no music. Also there's no Fabulously Wealthy Families.
@laminage7 жыл бұрын
Jack did what he did so he could get Jabot back for his Father John. He always blamed himself for losing Jabot to Victor and then Jack #1 then played by Terry Lester (RIP), had an affair with Jill #1 played by Brenda Dickson and John had to give her a nasty settlement so people wouldn't find out about her and Jack's affair. Also, here's a fun fact. Peter Bergman attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts as did Kirk Douglas as well as Stefan Brogren (Snake) who is the only "Original" Cast Member from Degrassi Jr. High that debuted in 1987.

Why did they do away with the intense background music
@laminage3 жыл бұрын
@@karenthompson5935 Kay Alden who worked on the show is retired and New Folks came in. Mal Young who worked on The UK Soap Opera Eastenders knew nothing about US Soaps and that created alot of problems. He didn't like using music amongst other things.
